I print out the tales that I want to read most times and you should see the smiley faces all over this one!!! I smiled at the title 'miscreant' ... over the twins taking a half-step backwards... The nebulous doom... loved the 'several leagues' of her hearing ability... the sharper elbows... Mordor cannot be more dangerous... All the trouble they went to - you'd think they were going up against a balrog! I was amazed... the punishment fit the crime. *giggles*

Oh, Celebrían knows exactly what she's doing with those three. Although I can see their point about wanting to avoid maidens!

obsidianj · 25 January 2008 · Chapter 1: Trouble

They really have done it this time. Why is it that a few girls seem such a large foe to most young males? And Glorfindel was really no help at all, for none of them. I'm kind of suspicious that he used the twins to get a reprieve from Imladris ;-).

oh, very, very funny!! thank you for a good laugh i loved the comment about him trying to work out how closely related Celebrian is to Feanor! Glorfindel really does have 'foot in mouth' syndrome, doesn't he? "It was only a joke,’ he protested, knowing, even as he said the words, that opening his mouth was a mistake." heehee, lovely fic. are you intending to continue with this? i hope that you do. it has the grounding for a fantastic fic. all of your characters are great!! J xx

Oh, this was just wonderful! The poor boys (all three of them!) certainly are in a fix aren't they? I havethe biggest grin on my face and will now go finish my lunch in a much better mood than when I woke up this morning. I'm definitely recommending this story to my friends. Edlyn

Delightful reading, with dialog that is refreshing and pungent. A nice treat for a sunday afternoon.:) ~~~~{~@

Truly her mother's daughter. Loved every inch of this Bodkin, especially the reference to Lord Namo.

Inglor · 12 January 2008 · Chapter 1: Trouble

I really like this portrayal of Celebrian. Definitely Galadriel's daughter (pricelss Feanor reference). Entertained, as usual.

elliska · 12 January 2008 · Chapter 1: Trouble

Oh those foolish males! They could not possibly hope to win against Celebrian! Glorfindel really should know better. ;-) But the garlic was hilarious, and probably quite successful, if you don't count how it was certain to make Celebrian even angrier. This was hilarious!

Larner · 12 January 2008 · Chapter 1: Trouble

I am giggling, of course. Ah, what an influence on Elrond's sons Glorfindel is proving, complete with garlic! And the characterization of the one elleth as more successful because she has sharper elbows--how wonderful! I love it! Now, to see how he brings the twins back--uneaten! Heh!

Redheredh · 11 January 2008 · Chapter 1: Trouble

This was hilarious! :D Great bits of business all through this. The opening scene could not have been more entertaining. LOL! A very enjoyable depiction of the Lady of Imladris and her powers. Although, I would assume some of her techniques, such as circling to intimidate and undermining the opposition's unity, came from her dad. ;) One wishes all the twins adventures could be this sort of fun. It probably is the contrast to their other masculine duties that makes this so delightful. Loved how you threw in a cat reference! Thanks to BC for having a birthday!

Lindelea · 11 January 2008 · Chapter 1: Trouble

*snork* so much to love Mordor cannot be any more dangerous Indeed.

ellie · 11 January 2008 · Chapter 1: Trouble

Oh, how funny! This is so great! I hope it isn't over yet. And I abowsiutely loved this paragraph: "He cringed a little. Elrond’s wife had a nasty tongue on her when roused – and she was most definitely roused. It was at times like these that he found himself trying to work out her exact degree of relationship with Fëanor – and it usually turned out to be a good deal closer than made him comfortable." This is so classic, so amazingly funny! Well done! I love reading your works. You're such a fun writer.

daw the minstrel · 11 January 2008 · Chapter 1: Trouble

Funny story, Bodkin! Celebrian is hilariously threatening so that even Glorfindel treads carefully. I liked the cat/mouse image at the end. Who'd have thought the Balrog Slayer would be the one in the rodent position?

Beruthiels Cat · 11 January 2008 · Chapter 1: Trouble

Absolutely perfect, lol...thank you! I can just SEE that herd of conniving females bearing down on them, *chortles* Celebrian's solution of the punishment fitting the crime is too funny, and Elrond's conspicuous absence while justice is meted out just makes it that much better! Out of the frying pan, into the fire... Still grinning, Cat

Jay of Lasgalen · 11 January 2008 · Chapter 1: Trouble

Celebrían is just marvellous here! Even though the twins are near grown, she can still intimidate them with a single look - and Glorfindel really should take his cue from them. Here, the twins know best. I love their instinctive half-step backwards when Glorfindel is foolish enough to argue! I love her observation that 'a nebulous doom was so much more worrying.' She really is her mother's daughter, isn't she? I think the tale of their visit to Mithlond would be most interesting ... A great tale, Bodkin! Jay

Elena Tiriel · 11 January 2008 · Chapter 1: Trouble

LOLOLOL! Very funny, Bodkin! Just goes to show, boys will be boys.... even if they are thousands of years old. ;-) Well done! - Barbara
