How nice to be back with Pip-frog - I had forgotten all about him! But I love him. Those parts were so cute! *hugs him and you* Namarie, God bless, Antane :)

Author's reply

So sorry that I took sooo long that you forgot Pip-frog's plight. All during RL's interruption, I had my mind on how to end this story and was able to write the two last chapters and post them one after another just the other day. Thank you for your review...I appreciated it so much...huggies right back from both of us, Neilia Love is the greatest power in the universe

poppymuddyfoot · 6 October 2009 · Chapter 5: WIZARD AND HOBBIT

What a charming story! You did a lovely job portraying Pippin's plight. As a Pippin fan, should I be more disturbed that it wasn't very difficult to see him as a frog? Oh, well, I'll just attribute that to your skills as a story teller and say thank you for sharing it.

Author's reply

Pip would manage to be adorable in any form, don't you think? He is absolutely delightful and fun to write because he is such a scamp. ^_^ Hugs.

shirebound · 6 October 2009 · Chapter 5: WIZARD AND HOBBIT

Awwww, a groggy froggy! I enjoyed this story very much, especially the ending -- very gentle and tender.

Author's reply

Thank you shirebound. Yes, a groggy froggy with a full tummy...can't you just see it? *Teehee* I liked the way it ended too. I wonder if Pip has really learned his lesson???

harrowcat · 6 October 2009 · Chapter 5: WIZARD AND HOBBIT

This is a delightful read Neila.

Author's reply

Thank you harrowcat. I appreciate the review and I am glad you enjoyed the tale.

Kitt Otter · 5 October 2009 · Chapter 5: WIZARD AND HOBBIT

Perfect, cute ending! I love Gandalf in grandfather!mode. And it seems Pip might actually have learned a lesson. (yay!) The froggy tummy full of bugs was wonderfully yucky. :) It's amazing how no matter his size or situation, Pip retains that hobbit appetite. I enjoyed this story a lot; thanks for sharing. ^_^

Author's reply

Thank you Kitt Otter. I too love Gandalf in grandfater mode...He is precious to us all. Pip will always be Hobbity, tummy and all, no matter what his situation...that's what makes him such a delight! Hugs.

Larner · 5 October 2009 · Chapter 5: WIZARD AND HOBBIT

Aha! The twenty-four hours are over, and he is now fully restored. Excellent! Now to see to it he is dressed properly and fed properly, too! Love the little talk!

Author's reply

Thank you, Larner. This tale was a delight to begin and finish...so sorry it took soooo long to do so. Anyway, our little Pip and Gandalf has their beginning to their special relationship...I hope Pip doesn't try the wizard's patience too much on the Quest! ;)

Larner · 5 October 2009 · Chapter 4: CONSOLATION

Ooh, it's been a while since this was posted! Delightful! Now, to learn what the flash of light is! Dear Pippin, he's had a day of it, hasn't he? Heh!

Author's reply

Thank you for your review, Larner. The final chapter is now posted. I hope they are okay...I didn't have a beta reader for them. The flash of light was the Ward sending the snake to the ground..not clear? Ooops. Sorry it took a year to get poor Pip outa that tree! Love ya all. Neilia

Antane · 30 July 2008 · Chapter 3: TERROR

How terrible for Pip-frog! But better for all of us to know ahead of time that he's going to be all right. Love Gandalf's 'answer' to Merry's question about turning him back into a hobbit early. Pippin must really be sorry if he's going to give Merry all his afters for a week or two. I look forward to the next chapter! *hugs* *hugs Pip-frog* Namarie, God bless, Antane :)

Author's reply

Pip-frog appreciates the hugs. He will certainly be glad when he can return them with real arms again. Thank you for your lovely review, Antane. Hugs, Neilia

Grey Wonderer · 29 July 2008 · Chapter 3: TERROR

Oh, you really had me worried there. I should have known Gandalf would be clever about this. I was glad to see a new chapter posted. I can't wait to see what the night will bring for Pippin-Frog.

Author's reply

Me neither. I have so many possibilities floating around my head, I am dizzy! Hugs, Neilia

Andrea · 28 July 2008 · Chapter 3: TERROR

Well, IF something had happened to Pippin, Gandalf would have had to fear for his life because of the wrath of Pippin's cousins ;-) So he was very clever to apply the ward spell, too. And I just love shirebound's word creation: Froggit :)

Author's reply

I love Froggit too! Thank you for your review. Hugs, Neilia

Kitt Otter · 28 July 2008 · Chapter 3: TERROR

Ohhh, I was in suspense for long weeks... Of course Gandalf wouldn't let harm come to the Hobbits! What a relief - a ward. So Pip-frog won't be any snake's dinner. And he actually is feeling sorry for what he has done. I hope he does learn his lesson... or may Gandalf consider lengthening the spell? *grins in a way saying she wouldn't mind* -Kitt

Author's reply

Hahaha! Poor Pip! You want him to be a tiny green tree frog longer? He won't hear of it. He is gumming my finger right now wanting to be turned into a Hobbit the very next chapter; but, no promises! Hugs, Neilia

Larner · 27 July 2008 · Chapter 3: TERROR

Bless Gandalf for that thoughtfulness! Poor Pippin--fearing he would be a snake's meal! And now he'd even sacrifice his afters for Merry? Dear, foolish Took!

Author's reply

Yes, our Pip is pretty much a scamp. Hope he doesn't change too much, though. Would hate for him to lose that little twinkle in his eye! :D Hugs, Neilia

Pearl Took · 27 July 2008 · Chapter 3: TERROR

Oh my!! Poor wee froggy-Pip :-O I'm glad Gandalf protected him and that he is learning some lessons :-) So well done, Neilia!!

Author's reply

Thabk you, Pearl. I appreciate your review so very much. See you next chapter. Hugs, Neilia

shirebound · 27 July 2008 · Chapter 3: TERROR

Well, thank goodness Gandalf had the foresight to protect our frog-hobbit (froggit?). But poor Pip, what a fright!

Author's reply

Thank you for your review. Froggit? I love the term! Wish I had thought of it and applied it sooner. Do you think that it would fit in so late? Hugs, Neilia

Hobbit_Friend · 28 April 2008 · Chapter 2: ALONE

"No ‘ribbit' answered him, no gentle tugging of his foot-hair." EEEEEEEEEEEE! What brilliant, hobbity writing! ^-^ More, please. *big round doe eyes - BLINK, BLINK*

Author's reply

Thank you for your enthusiasm. The next chapter is in the hopper. See ya soon. Hugs, Neilia :D

Jay of Lasgalen · 13 April 2008 · Chapter 2: ALONE

Yes, totally AU - but what fun! I like Pippin-the-frog and his still Hobbitty appetite. Jay

Author's reply

Yep! Pip-frog is still totally Hobbit. :D Thank you for the review. Look for the next chapter soon.

Antane · 12 April 2008 · Chapter 2: ALONE

Naughty of Pip-frog to scare his Merry like that! And now he's really in for it - I hope you don't leave us hanging off this cliff too long! Namarie, God bless, Antane :)

Author's reply

Cliff? Did I leave you hanging? *Teeheehee* Will post next chapter as soon as me and my beta get it whipped into shape. Thank you for reviewing. Hugs, Neilia

Grey Wonderer · 12 April 2008 · Chapter 2: ALONE

I loved it when he ate the bugs. This is excellent and Pippin really was enjoying being a frog but now, he is in serious trouble from the sound of things. I don't know which will be worse, Gandalf having to explain things to Lord Elrond or Pippin frog tangling with a snake! Merry had better hurry up and find Pip! (I hope there's more soon!)

Author's reply

Well, now I have to write Pip-frog in or out of trouble, right? It's coming along...it's coming along. Thank you for your review. :D

Andrea · 11 April 2008 · Chapter 2: ALONE

Great story so far! Pip-frog seemed to have a lot of fun - until that snake appeared! I don't know what's that "something about Pippin's condition" Gandalf talked about, but I really hope it will prevent the snake from eating Pip-frog. I'm looking forward to reading more :)

Author's reply

Thank you Andrea for your review. Pip-frog does seem to be in a fix! We shall see what is up in the next chapter. *Teehee* It's fun being the author! :D

Kitt Otter · 11 April 2008 · Chapter 2: ALONE

This is very different and hilarious! Oh, Pippin is so notty... I like the contrast between Bilbo and Sam's exclamations. I can imagine his plump hobbity-frog stomach would look appetizing to any snake. But you won't really let him get eaten? I'll just have to be patient for the next chapter then. :) -kitt

Author's reply

Cool! So glad you like my tale. Oh, yes, the next chapter should be interesting. :D

Pearl Took · 11 April 2008 · Chapter 2: ALONE

ACK!! EEK!! NO!! Wake up Pip-frog! And what is Gandalf about to tell the others? This is such fun, Neilia :-) :-) I hope to see more soon.

Author's reply

Thank you Pearl! Yes, this is tons of fun to write. See you next chapter! :D

shirebound · 11 April 2008 · Chapter 2: ALONE

After Merry had departed in such entertaining haste, Pippin experimented with his lovely toe pads. This is delightful. But now.... eeee, the suspense!

Author's reply

Yep, poor Pip-frog is being set up to be a tasty snack all right! :D Thanks for the review. Hugs, Neilia

Larner · 11 April 2008 · Chapter 2: ALONE

Ooh, dear! How alarming--and logical! Heh! Find him quick, Gandalf!

Author's reply

Maybe Gandalf won't have to 'find him'...but that's for the next chapter. Thanks for the review. Hugs, Neilia

cathleen · 4 January 2008 · Chapter 1: Lost

Oh, poor Pip! I am looking forward to reading more of this!

Author's reply

Do we really feel that sorry for Pip? Hmmmm, perhaps we will.... Thank you for your review. I appreciate it so very much.

Larner · 3 January 2008 · Chapter 1: Lost

Trust Pippin! Heh! This is priceless!

Author's reply

Thank you, Larner. I am having such fun writing this little tale...more coming later.
