Fimbrethil · 28 May 2025 · Chapter 4: The King's Clothes (Aragorn, OC)

I always thought Faramir got them for Aragorn somewhere. Maybe they are Faramir’s. Or Boromir’s, that would be better than Denethor’s. Or maybe he is in the armor the soldiers wear to guard the tree.

Larner · 10 January 2010 · Chapter 20: The First Day (Arwen)

It is indeed a different form of immortality she will know now! Lovely!

Larner · 10 January 2010 · Chapter 19: It's Obvious

Yes, golden and raven hair blowing together in the wind has become a precedent now. Heh!

Larner · 10 January 2010 · Chapter 16: That which remains (OCs)

Now I can see it! Yes, the change to peacetime isn't without its natural drawbacks, of course!

ellie · 6 January 2010 · Chapter 20: The First Day (Arwen)

This is a beautiful exploration of as you said the 'first day of the rest of her life'. Nicely done!

Author's reply

Thank you. Although we use it a lot around here, I think that the saying is especially apt in this context.

Cairistiona · 6 January 2010 · Chapter 18: Sloth (Aragorn, Arwen)

Hee hee! This is fun... I love the bantering and the fade-to-black before it gets too detailed. I can so easily imagine the playful look on the King's face as he declares that today he will "call in sick". A delightful vignette of a happily married King and Queen.

Author's reply

Haha! It was really fun to write that one; I'm glad you feel the same as a reader. Thanks for the review.

Cairistiona · 6 January 2010 · Chapter 6: A Date's Irony (Aragorn, Arwen)

This is lovely... I like the intertwining of days, Halbarad's birth- and death-day being the same, and then the way you've tied it in with Aragorn's birth- and death-day. I had never really given thought to when Halbarad's birthday might be, but this idea is poignant. I also love how you've written Aragorn's musings. They're wistful, and sad, but not maudlin. I'll be enjoying the picture of Aragorn arriving beyond the Dark Sea, and Halbarad waiting, perhaps a gift in hand.

Author's reply

Thank you. The fact that Aragorn died on is birthday has always fascinated me. It somehow completes the cycle of life. I love the idea of Halbarad waiting with a gift. ;)

Lady Bluejay · 6 January 2010 · Chapter 20: The First Day (Arwen)

Oh, This is nice, Vilwarin. It's always a poignant moment and you have captured it well. I particularity like the realisation that she is now a mortal. LBJ

Author's reply

Thank you. Yes, it is a very powerful moment. I think that it is difficult to really understand how she feels, leaving behind everything she has ever known - and ever been. It must have been very hard but I like to believe that she was richly rewarded for it.

Raksha The Demon · 5 January 2010 · Chapter 19: It's Obvious

Very amusing! Yes, the stable is a bit more discrete a place for lovers' kisses than would be the gardens of the Houses of Healing. I would think though, that Imrahil might have ways of knowing what his daughter is up to with the King of Rohan...

Author's reply

A yes, that niggling worry. But unsuspecting eyes may miss much - especially when they are occupied otherwise (with whatever he's doing). I have often wondered why Imrahil stayed at Edoras; maybe it really was to watch over his daughter? Thanks for the review.

ellie · 4 January 2010 · Chapter 1: Only the Beginning (Éowyn and Faramir)

I know the painting which inspired this. Beautifully done!

Author's reply

Oh, thanks. I think the painting is just perfect for the two of them.

RS · 4 January 2010 · Chapter 19: It's Obvious

It's the hair, indeed! NICE!

Author's reply

Of course it is - so exotic. ;) I'm glad you liked it and thanks for the review.

Virtuella · 4 January 2010 · Chapter 19: It's Obvious

This made me smile.Very cute.

Author's reply

I'm glad I made you smile and thanks for the review.

ellie · 4 January 2010 · Chapter 19: It's Obvious

hahahhaha! Very good!

Author's reply

Sometimes there is humour in order, isn't there. I love the scene between Éomer and Gimli and just couldn't resist when I was asked for a E/L drabble. Thanks for the review.

RS · 3 August 2009 · Chapter 18: Sloth (Aragorn, Arwen)

I cannot wipe this smile off my face!

Author's reply

Ha! Then I achieved my mission. LOL. Thank you. Yes, it's a fun piece and I enjoyed writing it.

Larner · 3 August 2009 · Chapter 18: Sloth (Aragorn, Arwen)

Definitely an intimate moment! Heh!

Author's reply

Yes, it is. I can see them trying to find some private time before the day begins. Thanks for reviewing.

shirebound · 3 August 2009 · Chapter 16: That which remains (OCs)

The long watch is over and now I am unsure what awaits us. How interesting! Reality doesn't always match up to expectations.

Author's reply

Yes, that's life: like a box of chocolates - you never know what you're gonna get. I imagine it must be a strange thing: Your people spent more than a thousand years secretly fighting against the darkness. And suddently everything changes - life is not how you have always known it and you have to find a new place in the world. And maybe that place is not as different from your old one as you believed. Thanks for reviewing.

shirebound · 3 August 2009 · Chapter 18: Sloth (Aragorn, Arwen)

What a happy marriage. :) They both deserve it.

Author's reply

Oh yes, they do. And they must make the best of it while they can. Busy life being King... Thank you for reviewing.

Grumpy · 30 July 2009 · Chapter 17: It is unfair (Estel, Bilbo)

One miffed little boy, I bet he would have had fun at the feast meeting everyone.

nancylea57 · 26 July 2009 · Chapter 15: The Errand (Faramir)

Author's reply

It's not the first time that soa is doing that. Thanks for pointing it out again. It's also on my LJ http://vilwarien.livejournal.com/6065.html#cutid1 I'll go and send an e-mail to marta. Thanks for letting me know.

Larner · 14 July 2009 · Chapter 17: It is unfair (Estel, Bilbo)

Most fitting! Yes, someone else WISHED to be allowed to know more, too! Yes, Estel!

Author's reply

Thank you. It's most annoying to be left out of all the interesting stuff.

Dreamflower · 13 July 2009 · Chapter 17: It is unfair (Estel, Bilbo)

Aww...poor little Estel! It's not fair! LOL! the lament of young children the world over and age to age!

Author's reply

Yes, from his viewpoint it wouldn't be fair. I can still clearly remember scenes from my own childhood where I felt exactly the same. Thanks for reviewing.

Larner · 2 June 2009 · Chapter 15: The Errand (Faramir)

Just a note--the next chapter I can't see anything within!

Author's reply

Hi Larner. Thanks for letting me know. I don't know what's wrong. I asked other people and they said that they could see it alright.

6336 · 18 November 2008 · Chapter 15: The Errand (Faramir)

A nice little look into the first time Faramir dreams of Imladris and its mysteries. I do have one comment though, please be accurate when quoting Tolkien's work: It should be seek and not search, counsels not councils and Morgul-spells not Morguls spells, 'And the Halfling forth shall stand.' not 'And forth the Halfling shall stand' Thankyou, Lynda

Author's reply

*blushes* Thank you for the corrections. I did not have the books available when I wrote the piece and forgot to look it up when I got home. I'll correct it immediately.

Antane · 17 November 2008 · Chapter 15: The Errand (Faramir)

I like this. Thank you. My favorite part was that Faramir was the one that showed Gandalf into the archives. Such place would be to the liking of a gentle heart like that man. And to me. Namarie, God bless, Antane :)

Author's reply

Thank you. I imagine that Faramir spent a lot of his spare time in the archives. ;)

Medea Smyke · 17 November 2008 · Chapter 12: Conquest (Aragorn, Éomer)

Love it!
