I love the image of the King and Steward-Prince being kicked out of their preferred quarters by annoyed wives and drowning their sorrows at the tavern incognito. Faramir's musing on the Song of Arda at the end is a nice touch.

Well, I guess the men learned a good lesson...I hope. Promises made to children, and then broken, will rouse mother's ire every time. *giggle* An angry team of Arwen and Eowyn would be one I would not want to be near.
