Another lovely chapter. I am gald that you found time to consider the sadness of Duinhir amidst the good things happening, and I like the idea of Lothiriel's brothers remembering Guleth and being exceedingly protective of her! And I like Éomer's answer, in the shape of the door guard, even more!

Author's reply

Thanks for your review. I did try and pull everything together. Glad you enjoyed my fun. LBJ

Thank you so much for writing and continuing this story! I stumbled upon it about a week ago and could not stop reading it. It is so nice to have this story line developed...and so nicely. Thank you.

Author's reply

Glad I kept you reading. Thanks for reviewing. LBJ

Lothiriel's emotions, were written beautifully, when she was about to meet Prince Amal. I have a feeling though that he's going to cause a lot of difficulty for Gondor and Rohan in the future. >>“I know it is not your way, but it is a good arrangement: they argue and fight with each other and not with me.” Very funny! >>We are not all monsters.” So true. Thanks for writing!

Author's reply

Poor Amal - I wonder if you are misjudging him! Time will tell. Thanks for reviewing. LBJ

It's good that Lothy has managed to recover from her past to even speak with the new Prince of Harad, who is very lucky not to have an irate King of the Mark run him through. Can't wait to read about the wedding.

Author's reply

Not long to go - one more chapter before the wedding. Thanks a lot for reviewing.LBJ

I'm enjoying this story very, very much! Forgive me for being lax in my reviewing, but I do eagerly await each chapter and print it out and read it as quickly as I can! I really like how much Lothiriel has grown and developed, Eomer too, but especially her. I'm eagerly looking forward to their trip to Dol Amroth. Oh, I'm also interested in seeing what he tells her about Bergit and her children... if he does. :)

Author's reply

Hi, He does tell her -but not until the third part - which is post wedding. Glad you are still enjoying. Thanks for reviewing.LBJ

I have been following along, but have just not been a very good reader by not reviewing... :( Apologies! This was an excellent chapter. I just love everything about this story. I especially liked the insights into Elphir and Meren's relationship. You really should write a story about them. No one's written a story dedicated to Elphir yet and you have created such a romantic story for him already! Another thing I liked was that the brothers, which I'm afraid have fallen into flat-supporting characters in fandom, I've noticed, are unique and different from each other and what fandom has created for them. some pickies: >> I know you won’t want to see him, if fact Éomer told me very forcefully that he won’t allow any risk of you being upset, so you can stay on here. Do you mean, "in fact"? Not "if fact"? >> Éomer took hold of her hand again. Also, in the story, "Eomer" when you put your mouse over it is in link format or something. Just thought you mgiht want to know. Thanks for writing!

Author's reply

Glad you like my brothers. I enjoy putting in the little snippets. Sorry about the formatting - blame vista it doesn't like my old files. I am working on it. Thanks for reviewing.LBJ

Lothy's willingness to see the new ruler of Harad says a lot on how much she has recovered. Poor couple has to wait for almost a year? Awww... Will we see more of Amroth? Thanks for the update.

Author's reply

Well, I hope it passes quickly for them! Amroth does appear again in this part, but you will have a whole story about him after this. Thanks for reviewing.LBJ

Another enjoyable installment. I loved all the romance and laughed out loud at Welwyn's and Lothy's "deal". Amroth is adorable too.

Author's reply

I quite like Amroth - much more of him in part 2. Thanks for your lovely reviews. LBJ

Lady Bluejay, Love, Love, Love this story. Very cleaver the way you add text from the LOTR before a chapter to set up the scene. Please don't stop writing. SimplegirlfromLP

Oh gosh, wonder what Eomer is planning--but I'm thinking it will involve Lothy. I'm glad that she is now able to share her past with him--that's a major hurdle done already and their relationship is progressing very well. Eomer "domestication" is starting in earnest too!

Author's reply

I am sure it will involve Lothy. He will find out all about her during the time ahead. Thanks for reviewing.:LBJ

A pleasing outing for the characters! It's good that Legolas was there. I enjoyed the interaction and all the sweetness between Eowyn and Faramir and of course Eomer and Lothiriel. It seemed to me that Lothy is quite ready to share her past with Eomer.

Author's reply

Glad you enjoyed it - they have to get to know each other a bit before I can marry them off! Thanks for reviewing. LBJ.

Elflingimp · 22 November 2008 · Chapter 27: Chapter 27

Well thankyou for the nice long chapter, it was good for a lazy afternoons reading. Lothirial and Eomer seem to be slowly getting to know each other but I think they have a lot to learn yet especially Eomer. Happy Thanksgiving Lady Bluejay! The Imp

I loved this chapter,so much going on in it, I kinda feel sorry for Eomer trying to visit with Lotherial and not being able too, but I guess all in good time, can't wait for the next chapter. The Imp

Thanks for the update. I enjoyed all the romance in this chapter! Hope they get to know each other better, and I'm curious as to how Lothy will share her past with Eomer. I also liked reading about Amrothos and Alphros and Imrahil's reaction his possible romance with Eomer. I'm sure there will be more delightful scenes coming up in the next chapters so looking forward to the next one.

Author's reply

Yes, there are a few chapters to go before we finish with this part of the story. More about Amrothos and Alphros in the next part. Thanks for reviewing. LBJ

Elflingimp · 1 November 2008 · Chapter 25: Chapter 25

Oh! My! Gosh! Their first meeting is everything I hoped it would be, the descriptions of them both were beautiful! What a first impression for them both. Hugs The Imp

Author's reply

It had to be something a bit dramatic after 24 chapters! Thanks for reviewing.LBJ

whitewave · 30 October 2008 · Chapter 25: Chapter 25

A very romantic first meeting indeed and what a grand entrance! You seem to have discomfitted our dear Lord of the Mark a number of times for this chapter, especially with Eowyn's comment. Looking forward to her and Lothy's interaction in the future. Do we still have a long way to go before the wedding bells ring? PS. I found Alphros very, very cute, especially the way he hero-worships his uncle Amrothos. Too bad Erchi is back home.

Author's reply

our or five chapters, I think. I hope you won;t get bored! But they do have to get to know one another a bit. More from Alphros and Amroth in Part Two of this. Thanks for reviewing. LBJ

Resisting the urge to leave a "review" for each chapter, I have resolved to allow myself this indulgence every several. I am enjoying myself no end in reading Tide of Destiny. When Lothiriel chanced to meet the Istar (that is what I am assuming) I leapt in my chair with delight and excitement; and felt by contrast a gut-wrenching despair on behalf of Bergit. In particular I love that the choice of words is never florid, and yet I still see and feel the settings and characters in great clarity. I particularly find my emotions being given a real run-around! I'm terribly pleased to have chanced upon "Stories of Arda" as a website, and your work. -Eluthaun.

whitewave · 17 October 2008 · Chapter 24: Chapter 24

A very satisfying long chapter! The excitement is mounting--I can't wait for them to meet--I found myself smiling when I read Eomer's yearning for a wife and not just a mistress. I also think it's sweet that Imrahil has found a partner in Calaerdis. Looking forward very much to the next chapter because I've always enjoyed all your first meeting scenes for Eomer and Lothy...

Author's reply

Poor Eomer - they are all getting married around him - not surprising he's feeling left out in the cold! Thanks for reviewing. LBJ

Eluthaun · 16 October 2008 · Chapter 1: Chapter 1

What a fantastic opening! In particular I felt the part featuring the young Eomer was very moving! The characters in your keeping spring to life, little guestures in the choice of words, and the tone. I felt I could perceive the deeper feelings and motives of the characters without you having to explicitly write them out word for word. I will certainly be reading on! Can't wait!

Elflingimp · 16 October 2008 · Chapter 24: Chapter 24

Ha!Ha! I really loved the ending to this chapter, her father seems not to want his daughter to be interested in Eomer, well unknow to him Lothiriel already knows what the score is and you bet I will be waiting for the next chapter! The Imp

Author's reply

Of course she does - now she is starting to think straight. Hope she's impressed!*grins*. Thanks for reviewing. LBJ

Casso · 16 October 2008 · Chapter 24: Chapter 24

This chaper was great. I'm still chuckling re the lionesses doing all the work. While the others are tiptoeing around he subject of Eomer, Lothiriel seems to have privately accepted the challenge of a King with golden hair. Can't wait for them to meet. I know it will be a beautifully crafted yarn, as always. Casso.

Author's reply

I hope it will be. I like the idea of her knowing and them not thinking she knows! Thanks for reviewing. LBJ

shadowfax · 8 October 2008 · Chapter 23: Chapter 23

Well now you are really postponing the meeting. I'm really waiting for the enigmatic first meeting between Eomer and Lothiriel. I liked Galadriel's parting lines to Aragorn, made me think what she might have said, had Lothiriel not been there with them: Gentleman, that was the future Queen of Rohan. Haha. On a more serious note, I really liked how Lothiriel's character has shaped up in the course of the story...something really unusual as is obvious after her tussles with Umar. I really liked it when she went and used her bow on Harad's men. And also the flight on her house was magnificent in its tragedy. (I suppose the horse just *had* to die???) I hope the first meeting is something unusual! Pleas update soon!

Author's reply

Unusual meeting - I hope I don't disappoint! Thanks for commenting, and I hope you continue to enjoy. LBJ
