Love the scene when Thranduil holds Legolas. It reminds me of the scene when he is held by his father after kidnapping in Hidden Agenda.

I really enjoy that you follow Tolkien's version of Thranduil. He is so loved and respected.

It's nice to know that you are writing again. Take it slowly with your rewrite and I am sure you will have plenty of readers once it is complete. We all change and we grow as people, it never stops. Welcome back to the writing world and the world of Tolkien.

I'm actually working on a MASSIVE re-write of this story. I'll post it when it's done, but unfortunately this version will have to come down when I do.

Another great chapter by you. I are one of my favorite writers i must say,so i can't wait for the next update of this story or any of your others!

Oh this was so sad! This time Thranduil let go of his emotions and some tears. Poor one. At least he has friends to help him. Nice to read from you again.

Poor Thranduil. Legolas's need will surely give him a need to continue to fight. I liked seeing Celeborn - and Mithrandir and Elrond - here, all offering support. And Arwen makes a good nursemaid to a cute elfling.

I was so surprised to see this and so pleased. I read this a while back up to the last chapter and I hoped you would continue it. I am enjoying how you portray Thranduil and Legolas in this. And I thought the funeral was nicely done so not to worry. I'm very glad to see this continued.

I an hooked on this story, all your stories. I like the way that you have the 3 elven rulers as friends. So many authors show Thrandruil as an advisary to Elrond and Celeborn. Though I understand the back ground of the three and how strained there relationship could be, in my private world of Middel Earth, I see the three as equals and friends. (Though, I can understand why Thrandruil would not like Galadrial much. I wouldn't like anyone who could pry into my thoughts like she does.)

Oh! How sad! You must pick up this story and continue soon! Dont keep us waiting for to long!

I know you are in the middle of another work--which I also love--but I just ran across this. I hope you finish it!!!!

Poor Thranduil! Despite the gathering of powerful friends around him, his suffering is palpable. Legolas is a delight and clearly charms all who meet him, I can only assume that not only does he help pull Thranduil through this, but whatever softness remains in Thranduil afterwards will no doubt be because of the elfling. This is a wonderful story, if sad, and I await the next installment eagerly!

It was a lovely surprise to see an update for this wonderful story I so love the Thranduil you write. He is so real and so strong and so vulnerable. It is plain that his son takes after him! Also like the way you bring in Elrond another elf who seems to me to be just right when you write him does that make sense? Anyway it was a great chapter and look forward to reading more Judy

What a tragedy. Thranduil is lucky to have friends to fuss over him and a child to love him and need him.

Sivan · 11 February 2004 · Chapter 4: Chapter 4

Sorry, but it's about time, for update. I read the start in other archive, and I very much love it. Please update soon. I still love what I read, keep up the great work that you are doing with your story. Sivan

Very movng, I hope you decide to continue.

Orangeblossom Took · 13 August 2003 · Chapter 3: 3

*snif* *sob* Poor Thranduil. I also love the characterization of Elrond, Arwen, and Gandalf. The elf-king is lucky to have such friends in his time of need. Great story.

daw the minstrel · 11 August 2003 · Chapter 3: 3

What a loving father your Thranduil is! Of course, the cuddling infant probably is a comfort to him as well. Given how you portray Valilis in your other story, this is a terrible loss for Thranduil.
