Awwwwww...*hugs Namo and Vaire* Maranwe and Therinde were quite right to be concerned about them, for what they did was indeed wrong (though I dare anyone to say that in Namo's situation they would have done differently, really *shudder*) But of course Atar was there to gently guide him to a better understanding of what was right and wrong, and I see that Atar laid the truth out for Namo...sounds rather like the Judgement of various Eldar later in the story when Namo is in his rightful place as Lord of Mandos, Judge and Comforter and everything else *grin* so this is where he learned it from, hm? "Mount Olympus" on Mars...Sounds perfect for a meeting with Atar, though if it were called "Mount Sinai" or something I could see that too. I love reading your little notes, I'm learning much about astronomy from them ^_^ Poor Namo and Vaire's planet...it's going to be destroyed eventually I see, judging by its position between Mars and Jupiter...but at least it has a lake similar to the one on "Vaire's planet" and they can enjoy it for now. And I'm glad Mars is a good place for Namo to go and think. Off topic, a bit...Do you suppose even in the days after the Coming of the Children, the Valar (Namo especially) would take "time off" to go check over their planets or go play in the tenth dimension once in a while? Because rather randomly, I vaguely recall one of the Valar confusing a Maia by saying something about 'needing a vacation'...I think it was Vaire, lol. I love this story! ~Kaylee!! *still sleepy at seven AM but unfortunately has to go to work in a little over an hour*

Author's reply

Everything Námo has suffered and the lessons he has learned (and is still learning) from them are designed to prepare him for his ultimate role as Judge and Comforter. It's a painful, but necessary, process, but Námo will be a more effective Lord of Mandos because of it. Tolkien states somewhere that, according to ELVISH tradition (not necessarily according to fact or Valarin custom), once Arda was established, the Valar and Maiar voluntarily remained within Arda, but Arda, strictly speaking, means our entire solar system, so it's possible that they wandered about the other planets every once in a while. *grin* And actually it was Sador who overheard Námo talking about 'needing a vacation' and not knowing what was meant by that. LOL I'm glad you are enjoying this story, especially the astronomy. Thanks for reviewing.

Ces · 2 May 2008 · Chapter 27: Repercussions

I truly do see Atar's point to Námo about Mercy and Judgement, but in all honestly I probably would have done the same to Rushirithir. At least Námo feels true remorse. I really don't know if I would. But then, I guess that is what makes him such a good Ayanuz! I love seeing the development of Námo. He's such a terrifying character to those on Middle Earth and we get to see another side of him. Also, your descriptions of the universe, the planets is perfect timing! I'm catching all these great shows on tv right now: Cosmos, Solar Science and The Universe and learning, or should I say re-learning things I was taught in school. The difference being I appreciate it more now! I'm guessing things won't stay calm for too long - can't have that now, can we?! Ces

Author's reply

I think many of us would agree with Námo's initial assessment that he and Vairë did nothing wrong, but that doesn't mean he's right and at least he has Atar there to show him the error of his way in such a loving manner. My beta, when she read this, commented that this was a blue-print for the Judgments of the Eldar, and I guess she's correct. I'm glad you are re-learning about the universe and appreciating it more (I hope my descriptions of Eä have helped *grin*). Cosmos is absolutely my favoritest science show ever! And I actually got to meet Carl Sagan! Truly a remarkable person. The peace will not last long as we know from The Silmarillion, but then, that's why this tale is called 'Wars of the Valar'. LOL Thanks for reviewing.

Nieriel Raina · 30 April 2008 · Chapter 26: Atháraphelun Rising

Wow. What a confrontation! You had me worried for a minute, but I was so relieved to see Námo relinquish his true self to Atar. I both cheered and quailed in this chapter. And what a fitting proposal of marriage! LOL! Do you have invitations to the wedding yet? I do wonder how Námo will respond to physical intimacy with Vairë after all Melkor has done to him. Or is he all better now? Looking forward to more! This is such an original and fantastic tale!

Author's reply

*Glances at mailbox* No invitations yet, but I keep hoping. *grin* Glad you liked this chapter in spite of the icky parts with Melkor. But that is over and done with. Now that Arda has been established, Melkor no longer has any use in trying to entice Námo to his side. All his focus is going to be on conquering Arda. As for Námo... we will see in the next chapter the repercussions of the recent battles and confrontations on Námo and Vairë. Thanks for reviewing.

Agape4Gondor · 29 April 2008 · Chapter 26: Atháraphelun Rising

Well - it is going to be a battle royal, isn't it? I certainly was pleased that Namo was up to it - with a little help from Vaire and his albeit late friends! I loved Namo's response to Melkor's statement about disappointments :-) I was caught 'aw'ing when Namo gave his inner self over for safekeeping - a very wise move... but incredibly sad... being Melkor is one that Eru himself created... and a brother to Namo.... *sobs* I loved the Cavalry - better late than never! The SONG - the Song sounded spectacular - I could almost hear it in my head. Great writing!!! Just filled me with joy as they subcreated with what Eru gave them... EXCELLENT.... I loved Namo's teasing and felt he well-deserved that bolt of energy! Shame on you, Namo.... Ah *sits back in relief* - a stunning and wild and wondrous chapter... I loved the evil of Melkor - I just cringed for poor Namo - but to find him hold his own till help came was wondrous - he almost sounds like the Namo we know and love in the future. And that he and Vaire... well, that was great too. As I said, a stunning chapter - full of tension, horror, and joy! Thank you!!!

Author's reply

I like to think that Námo finally finds himself in this chapter, especially in giving his inner self over to Atar's safekeeping, something he was unable or unwilling to do earlier. Melkor is certainly full of himself here but he really has no clue. I'm glad you liked the Song.... I always figured that when the Valar finally established Arda and the other planets of our solar system this is how they did it. Námo certainly did deserve that little bolt of energy, but at least he and Vairë are at the 'teasing' stage of their relationship, teasing without rancor. At any rate, I think we are finally seeing the beginnings of the person Námo becomes in the future. I'm glad you enjoyed this chapter and found it stunning with all its tension, horror and joy, especially the joy. Thanks for reviewing.

Agape4Gondor · 29 April 2008 · Chapter 25: The Changing of the Variable

WOW - stellar LOL chapter. I love the humor at the beginning - because of the warning - it made it even more fun to read.... I got shivers when that snot, Rushirithir called Namo 'our little playmate! YUCKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKK And I whooo hoooed and hoorayed and jumped up and down when Namo did what he did to Vaire - and she accepted ! whooohooooo Oh - and I loved the fact that the 2 could easily hold the other Mayar in place whilst attacking that snot! (I could call him other things but this is a family board :D ) Well, Namo's Mayar accepted his rouse well - I think I would have tried to whack him side of the head! But that's me and then I'd land in Mandos' Halls (even though they weren't quite created yet - I'm sure he'd think of somewhere to stash me for punishment!!!!) AND - of course - I said a huge YIKES - when I got to the end.... running to read the next chapter since I'm a wee bit late!!!!

Author's reply

I think Námo and Vairë were have way too much fun here, myself. *grin* Glad you enjoyed the chapter so much. I have the feeling Marnawé really wanted to slap Námo silly for his ruse, but remembered at the last minute just who Námo was and so counted to a million really slowly. LOL

TolkienFan · 29 April 2008 · Chapter 26: Atháraphelun Rising

I think overall you have a very intriguing premise for a story here. I'm a bit disturbed, though, by the suggestion that male/male rape has occurred in the past and was about to occur again on a site that's supposed to be slash free. Additionally, the suggestion that Namo was willing to acquiesce to his own rape is quite disturbing and could well be a trigger issure for any of your readers who might have been victimized in the past. I would respectfully suggest that if you're going to leave that material in place you should raise the rating of this story to 'R' and post appropriate warnings.

Author's reply

I respect your concerns, however, we are not talking of physical rape here since these are spiritual beings. Also, since we are talking about the Valar, who are not strictly speaking male or female, then we can't really speak of there being an slash involved. What I have been describing, and in the most general terms without any specifics, is psychological and spiritual rape or, if you will, psychological domination and the attempt to suborn the free will of another person. This is what Melkor is all about. Námo is not acquiescing to anything but merely allowing Melkor to believe he is winning as a stalling measure until Manwë and the others arrive. So far, you are the only one to voice any concerns over this, but if others feel the same way than I would definitely consider raising the rating to "R". You may be comforted to know that this is most likely the last personal encounter between Melkor and Námo until the very end of the story when Melkor is taken prisoner by the Valar and sentenced to imprisonment in Mandos. Melkor, at this point, has become too engrossed in his nihilistic (Tolkien's words) crusade against Arda to bother with tempting individuals. And I'm not really giving away any plotlines, since we know how the story actually ends.

Kitty · 27 April 2008 · Chapter 26: Atháraphelun Rising

For some reason this chapter left me wishing that, when the Valar finally destroy Angband, Námo is the one to deliver the last blow to Melkor and to take him captive. I *so* want to do a few nasty things to Melkor for all he did to Námo!! Our dear Námo was very brave here, considering how he had to feel for having to face Melkor again. But he stood his ground long enough that the other Ayanumuz finally could arrive and put an end to Melkor’s attack, and his trust in Atar was touching. As for Melkor ... his attitude is so disgusting. Arrogant and stupid, as he obviously didn’t realise Námo’s trust in Atar and that he gave over his inner self to protect it from Melkor. Oh well, the arrogance of the mighty ... Knowing that this private frequency is forming, watching Námo and Vairë working together and kissing in the end made up for the nastiness of Melkor and his servants. Their bond will give Námo strength and self-assurance, I think. And we got to witness how Arda was sung into being! :-)

Author's reply

It will be interesting how the war against Melkor goes and just what role Námo has in it. And Námo has begun to reclaim himself and trust Atar more when confronting Melkor, although we will see in the next chapter that he still has to face certain consequences for his actions against Rushirithir. However, his and Vairë's growing relationship will certainly help and we know what a wonderful couple they make anyway. *grin* Anyway, Melkor's attitude is indeed disgusting and totally blind to any reality but that of his own making. Seeing Arda Sung into being I think was the highlight of the chapter and the turning point of the story. Thanks for reviewing.

Oops! Must have clicked next or something! Friday morning fog? O.K. so Ea is the universe and Arda is the planet? Yes? No? What not even a 'Save the day card!'? Vaire is slipping! More please, Lynda

Author's reply

Eä is the universe; Arda, while usually referring to Earth, more correctly refers to our entire solar system. I tend to use both meanings depending on context.

6336 · 25 April 2008 · Chapter 999999: Character List

Happy Birthday Ea! Score one for the Aynmuz(sp?)! Namo did good and he and Vaire are finally getting married, yay! Do we get invites to the wedding? Somebody should find a deep, dark hole and stuff Melkor in, but Atar has plans for him, not sure if we will like them, but 'Atar knows best'!:<) More please, Lynda

Author's reply

So why are you posting this review for chapter 26 here? *scratches head in befuddlement* Anyway, it's 'Happy Birthday Arda!' Eä has already been created, or didn't you notice? As for the wedding... we'll have to see. I'm still looking for my own invitation. *grin* And Atar always knows best, even when we don't think He does.

Kaylee · 25 April 2008 · Chapter 26: Atháraphelun Rising

Oooooooh! Melkor again! And *she* was there! *shudder* But it looks like Namo and Vaire are finally ready to be espoused...YAY! yay, yay yay! And smart of Namo to give himself into Atar's keeping. Being in Atar's keeping is a VERY. GOOD. THING. *Nod* Manwe sure took his time showing up, though... Oh, I just loved how they made the planets and Melkor was just standing there probably thinking "What are you doing?" lol. I recognized them, of course...Mercury, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune and Pluto with its other little dwarf planet friends. And when they placed the new Earth in I cheered. But this one confused me... "Námo and Vairë came next, singing their own duet, and the next planet to emerge after that was much larger and quite beautiful with oceans and land. It also had a ring system and three satellites." Oceans? But, but Earth has oceans and land. But no rings and only one Moon. *frowns and shakes head, confused* What is their little project? It's not Aman, is it? *frowns deeper* Ai Atar, I'm so confused. ~Kaylee!

Author's reply

You are ignoring the order in which the planets are Sung into being. Námo and Vairë's planet comes after Irmo and Estë's planet (Mars) and before Manwë and Varda's planet (Jupiter). Of course that planet no longer exists in our time and perhaps that's where you are feeling confused.

Larner · 25 April 2008 · Chapter 26: Atháraphelun Rising

Evil, evil, evil--and as banal as only evil can be! He would have realized he held not the part of Namo he wished only when swatted by Atar himself for his foolishness, I suspect. Ah, Melkor--you have MUCH to learn, for all your apparent power!

Author's reply

Evil is blind to much about its own banality and so in his arrogance, Melkor never realized that he did not hold any part of the true Námo and never would. I suspect that not even Atar would be able to disabuse him of such self-inflicted blindness.

Rhyselle · 25 April 2008 · Chapter 26: Atháraphelun Rising

What a wonderful chapter to awaken to on this gorgeous spring morning! I admit that you caught me by surprise when Atharaphelun began to emerge. You gave hints when Namo reminded Vaire where they were, but I was totally clueless! And while I could rhapsody on and on about the beauty of the description of the creation of Arda, I have to say that my favorite bit in this whole chapter was this: Námo steeled himself as best he could, refusing to allow Melkor’s taint to touch his most inner self which he silently gave over to Atar for safe-keeping. That apparently small action seems to be the crux of the entire chapter to me, although at the moment I don't have the words to explain why. I liked Namo's wondering if the private frequency was the beginning of the bond that the espoused Ayanamuz had, and I really loved how together, he and Vaire were stronger than they could be apart. "If it served a greater purpose, he would," Vairë replied. "Your problem, Melkor, is that you think Atar won’t or can’t act against you, when in fact, he is merely waiting for you to return to him." This line got to me too--When we read about Melkor in the SIL, and the horrible things he did in his pride and seeking for utter lordship over creation, it's easy to forget that he, too, was a beloved child of Atar, and that he, Melkor, was never abandoned by Atar, but still had a home in Atar's heart that was waiting for him to repent, reform his life, and return. Had that little black hole been just a bit off in its location, a lot of Arda's grief would have been erradicated before the world was born... But then we wouldn't have such a wealth of tales to write our fanfiction about! Hmmm. So it was Namo and Vaire who created the fifth world that is an asteroid ring in our time. Now you've got me thinking again.... *grin* Námo looked upon Atháraphelun with wonder and realized that Manwë had decided to wait until the planet was firmly established in its fated place in Eä before attempting to shape it into the Vision they had all seen while in the Timeless Halls. You've given us a taste of the Song here that is just marvelous. It was just what I needed after my insanely busy weeks leading up to the conference which finally came off on Tuesday and Wednesday, and I kind of feel that this is my reward for getting through it all. I'm sitting here with a smile on my face, and feeling wonderfully lighthearted. As a final thought: Námo just couldn’t resist whispering to her across their private frequency: *Acairis, Acairis, Acairis.* She responded by throwing a mild bolt of energy his way, easily fended off with a negligent thought and then he was wrapping himself around her. *You were splendid. I think I’ll have to marry you.* *You think?* she retorted with a smile and then they were kissing, forgetting that they had an audience until quiet laughter distracted them and they turned to see everyone looking on with indulgent smiles. What a wonderful marriage proposal and reply! Just perfectly in character for these two! Thanks so much for this. I hope that you got at least as much satisfaction from writing this as I got from reading it.

Author's reply

Námo steeled himself as best he could, refusing to allow Melkor’s taint to touch his most inner self which he silently gave over to Atar for safe-keeping. This is indeed the crux of the chapter, for it marks the turning point in Námo's relationship, both with Atar and with Melkor. However much Melkor's presence sickens him, Námo now has the wherewithal to resist Melkor's allurements, knowing that as long as he puts his trust in Atar all will be well. We will see how Námo and Vaïrë's world does become our asteroid field in a later chapter. Anyway, I'm glad you found this such an enjoyable chapter especially with the crazy work week I know you've had. I did indeed get a lot of satisfaction in writing this chapter, primarily because everything that's gone before has led up to this defining moment, both in Námo's personal history and in the history of Arda. Thanks for reviewing, Rhyselle. I really appreciate it.

Ces · 25 April 2008 · Chapter 26: Atháraphelun Rising

Námo was awesome! So in control even though he could feel Melkor trying to get the better of him. No wonder he becomes who he is after having to endure everything he did. The emergence of the universe was wonderful. You really do bring words to life in your descriptions. The mark of an excellent writer. And Melkor leaves to plot some more I guess. At least with him around it's never boring! Ces

Author's reply

Thanks, Ces. Although we're not talking about the emergence of the universe, merely the emergence of our own solar system. Námo was indeed awesome and I think we're beginning to see the Vala he eventually becomes in the later stories. Melkor, of course, is not finished yet. He still has several tricks up his proverbial sleeve, as we will see in subsequent chapters. Thanks for reviewing.

obsidianj · 21 April 2008 · Chapter 25: The Changing of the Variable

Melkor had to arrive, right? But at least Namo got the job done and Melkor can't do anything about it. If Namo stays in the mood he dealt with the dark Mayar I have no concern that he can deal with Melkor, especially with the support of Vaire. Namo and Vaire's "playing" with the dark Mayar was kind of comical (throwing whips into the black hole) and scary (Namo punishing/taking revenge on Rushirithir). The fistfight and throwing rocks part made me go huh? But I guess if you walk around in fea all the time, you don't have belts and pockets for more elaborate weapons and rocks are ubiquitous when you incarnate.

Author's reply

Námo and Vairë 'playing' is indeed both comical and scary. Unfortunately the scary aspect will need to be dealt with eventually. Námo was more into seeking revenge rather than justice at this juncture. When you are usually incarnate, fighting in the flesh would be awkward at first since you are necessarily limited in what you can do. And they really haven't grapsed the idea of physical swords and such so they are forced to use rocks instead. I suspect they will learn more of how to fight on a physical level once the Children appear and they see how they do it.

Radbooks · 7 April 2008 · Chapter 25: The Changing of the Variable

Oh, gee whiz... leave us on a horrible cliff hanger! What kind of author does that to people? Oh, I guess I've been known to do that too! :) This was a great chapter. I LOVED the way Namo and Vaire 'played' with Melkor's Mayar and stripped them of their whips and stuff. Yay for the good guys! Then the scene on the planet with their own Mayar was very moving - I really like the love between Namo and his people and the interplay you show between them all... love and forgiveness and acceptance. At least the Variable got changed and now I just have to wait for the confrontation between Namo and Melkor. *shudder* I'm only looking forward to it in the sense that I know it HAS to happen for Namo's sake. Nicely done!

Author's reply

Thanks, Radbooks. I'm glad you liked this chapter. It is rather exciting, isn't it? I'm afraid though that Námo will suffer a reaction to what he did to the Dark Máyar in seeking revenge rather than justice. Part of the healing process he is still going through. At least his Máyar are fiercely loyal to him and that will help. As for the confrontation with Melkor.... stay tune.

Edlyn · 4 April 2008 · Chapter 25: The Changing of the Variable

Oh, meldonya! You do realise that I'm going to be completely useless at getting anything useful done today after reading this chapter? (It's a good thing I got my homework done early) Melkor's minions certainly underestimated Námo and Vairë. I have to say it was scary to see Námo whaling away at Rushirithir. I was worried that he would get too distracted by his need for revenge against the Valarauco and forget what he needed to be doing but my favorite Vala didn't let me down. I found several lines that just tickled me: --"Oh yes," Vairë said. "I weary of these Children interfering with our... um... own fun and games. Maranwë was bad enough, but these...."-- Fun and games with Námo... I read that and my face just about split from my grin. and --For a long moment, no one spoke while the Máyar digested that bit of news. Maranwë, Námo noted with approval, even raised himself to his feet to face his lord. "Thou’rt most devious, lord," he said emotionlessly. Vairë actually snorted at that. "You think?" she asked with an innocent look on her face and several of the Máyar actually snickered. Námo flashed her a smile and a mental kiss before turning his attention back to his People.-- I would think Maranwë was caught between outrage at being unknowingly used as bait, admiration for his Lord's sneakiness and the remains of his feelings of failure and went with being unemotional rather than have the "wrong" emotion being expressed. And Vairë's comment had me laughing out loud and was a wonderful break from the tension and fearful excitement of the ambush. and --"Now is not a good time, Manwë!"-- Honestly, this line reminded me of Jack O'Neill from "Stargate"? I can hear the frustration and irritation in Námo's voice and his decision to quit playing around. But the best line was: --Námo raised an eyebrow at her. *Our People?*-- And there's nothing I need say about that as you are well aware of how I feel about Námo and Vairë's romance. I found it interesting that the second battle was fought while incarnate. I have to say that seeing the Mayar and Dark Mayar fighting hand to hand and with rocks was rather disturbing to me given that my personal mental images of Tolkien-verse battles are predominantly those of swords, glaives, morning stars, axes, bows and the like. I know that since Arathaphelun hasn't been created yet, smithing and weaponsmaking haven't developed but my brain seems to have problems with keeping that in mind. Hurrah, the beacons are set! Oh, no! Melkor is here! You certainly know how to end a chapter, meldonya. Now I have to try to get my mind on work... at least it's Friday and there's only a few hours of the afternoon to get through and then I can freely indulge in "what ifs" until you post the next chapter. A most excellent episode in characterization, plot and description. Hugs, Edlyn

Author's reply

Hi Edlyn, I'm glad you found this chapter exciting, if a little never-wracking. I think you're the first reviewer to pick up on Námo's need for revenge and how scary he is going about it. A glimpse of what he could've been like had he fallen along with Melkor. I'm glad you found some amusing lines: Maranwë's response -- I'm sure he was torn between laughing and wanting to strangle his lord and settled for something in between, which is why Vairë responded as she did. Both Ayanumuz were well aware of what the poor Máyar was feeling right then. Námo's "Now is not a good time, Manwë" -- I was actually thinking of Han Solo, LOL!, but Jack O'Neill works as well and probably better. "Our People?" --I'm not sure but I think Vairë was proposing to Námo just then since he's been a little shy (not to mention slow) in doing it himself. *grin* When the Máyar started fighting in incarnate form I had to ask myself how would they fight and would they fight well when none are really used to doing things in hröa. It is rather a disturbing, but at the same time humorous, picture of these supposedly great Beings (compared to Mortals and even Elves) wrestling ineffectively against each other, almost like mud wrestling without the mud. Anway, the fight with Melkor in the next chapter will be on a quite different scale of warfare than what we saw here in this chapter. Thanks for reviewin and I'm glad to see you writing longer reviews again. I missed them. *grin*

Aha! The villain of the piece has come in person this time, has he? Now--to deal with the fool! As Sam would say, those as tries to make themselves boss of all have no plain Hobbit sense--never seem to see as such behavior always leads in the end to failure! Heh!

Very true, Larner. Too bad there weren't any Hobbits around from the very beginning, things might've gone quite differently than they did. *grin*

"Námo, watch out! Melkor’s just arrived!" I'm not sure who is the more evil here; Melkor or you! What a cliffhanger! Námo and Vairë make one heck of a team, don't they? Separately they are each powerful; together they are awesome. And they just casually send the dark máyar into a black hole while still carrying on a conversation was funny! The next chapter should definitely be interesting! I'm wondering if Manwë et all will be showing up for a ringside seat! Ces

Author's reply

That's me, the king of cliffhangers! LOL Námo and Vairë do indeed make a formidable pair. And I'm sure Manwë and the other Valar will do more than sell tickets to the show, they'll want to get in on the action as well. *grin* I'm glad you enjoyed this chapter. Thanks for reviewing.

Kitty · 3 April 2008 · Chapter 25: The Changing of the Variable

Oh WOW! The way Námo and Vairë dealt with the Dary Mayar was impressing! So all these minions of Melkor together weren't able to overpower these two? And they reacted so cool to these attacks! It's truly amazing how calm Námo was this time - I wonder if it is because of Vairë? ;-) And of course, just when it's coming down to Námo vs. Melkor again, there's the next cliffhanger ... ;-(

Author's reply

Yes, the Valar, singly or together, are very impressive and quite powerful, which is why they are Valar and not just Maiar. Námo is a little scary here in the way he deals with the Dark Máyar but he's certainly showing us what he's really made of (and Vairë, too). And of course, we all knew this particular confrontation was long in the making. I'll try not to keep you waiting long. *grin*

You're welcome! LOL I'm glad you enjoyed the chapter in spite of the 'evil cliffie'. I think we'll be seeing more of Námo and Vairë working together now that he has remembered their previous relationship.

Oh, I'm so glad that Namo finally remembered his feelings for Vaire! That was nice to have happen, though I'm concerned that he took her when he shouldn't have, especially as at the end of the chapter he hadn't moved the beacon. The battle scene was well done... I hope that Melkor truly is thrown off by everything they did. He is soooo disgusting and Manwe just takes it all so calmly and has everything under control - a very nice trait to have in the leader of the Valar. Well done, Fiondil!

Thanks, Radbooks. I'm glad you enjoyed this chapter. We will see in the next chapter what happens to Námo and Vairë and why the beacons don't move when they should. Manwë is pretty cool in more ways than one and he is definitely in control of the situation here. Thanks for reviewing.

Oh Excellent chapter! Full of humor, angst, romance... I think you nailed it all in one blow! LOL! And I can think of a reason Namo hasn't changed the beacons yet. Shall there be a newly wed couple of Ayanumuz next chapter? *grin* Just kidding. I do hope they are alright. Sorry this is short. STill settling in and trying to get house finished. I'll leave longer reviews again once it's all done and I can sit at my computer for longer than 5 minutes! NiRi

Is that romantic enough for you, NiRi? LOL Glad you enjoyed the chapter and don't worry, I know you're still busy with RL. We'll find out next chapter just what Námo and Vairë are up to and why the beacons haven't changed their coordinates yet.
