Raksha The Demon · 23 April 2008 · Chapter 15: O - like an ornery Oromë.

This is not an easy prompt to work with; but you've done a fine job, invoking Orome in the context of the Vala's field of influence, the hunt and the hunters. Nicely done.

Author's reply

Many thanks for your much appreciated review. This was indeed a tough prompt which took some thinking about!

Larner · 5 April 2008 · Chapter 15: O - like an ornery Oromë.

Ah, poor lads, denied the deer they'd promised the wives! And Orome is being decidedly contrary, isn't he? Heh!

Author's reply

Many thanks for your much appreciated review.I just hope the ladies don't tease their menfolk because of ORome's bad mood!

Larner · 3 April 2008 · Chapter 16: P= like a Pink Pippin

Ah--caught not so much red-handed as red-faced! Heh! Cute, Linda!

Author's reply

Thank you.I'm pleased you enjoyed this.

Raksha The Demon · 2 April 2008 · Chapter 16: P= like a Pink Pippin

Very fresh and cute, like Pippin himself. Gotta watch out for sticky-fingered hobbits when serving pastries, though.

Author's reply

Many thanks for your much appreciated review.I would not like to have to get meals for Hobbits. There would be nothing left in my pantry!

Raksha The Demon · 13 March 2008 · Chapter 14: N - Nimble Nimrodel

A sweet ficlet; few things are as appealing as the combination of cute kids and puppies. Eldarion will doubtless enjoy many happy hours with "Nimble Nimrodel".

Author's reply

Many thanks for your much appreciated review.I'm pleased you found this cute.I love to imagine ARagorn and his family enjoying lovable pets.

Larner · 13 March 2008 · Chapter 14: N - Nimble Nimrodel

Raksha The Demon · 26 January 2008 · Chapter 13: M - like marrying Merry

Poor Eomer; he probably finds battling Sauron's hordes an easier chore than understanding his sister. A clever and perceptive drabble.

Author's reply

Many thanks for your much appreciated review.I'm pleased you enjoyed the drabble.I find Eowyn hard to fathom myself,so I feel for her poor brother!

Raksha The Demon · 26 January 2008 · Chapter 12: L = Like the Legacy of Legolas

A lovely look at postWar Ithilien, getting green and prosperous thanks at least in part to Legolas. He has indeed left a fair legacy for the Secondborn. Wonderful, haunting last line, too.

Author's reply

Many thanks for your much appreciated review. The last line came to me first.I'm pleased you liked it.Ilove to hear gulls crying overhead.

harrowcat · 31 December 2007 · Chapter 12: L = Like the Legacy of Legolas

Raksha The Demon · 30 December 2007 · Chapter 12: L = Like the Legacy of Legolas

What a great way to mark Leggy's legacy - I believe Tolkien said, either in ROTK or elsewhere, that Ithilien became the fairest of mortal lands in the Fourth Age. HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

Author's reply

Thank you, I'm pleased you enjoyed it.I find Legolas hard to write so I'm relieved it worked. Happy New Year !

Larner · 30 December 2007 · Chapter 12: L = Like the Legacy of Legolas

Aragorn won't be here when Legolas leaves, but Elboron and his children will make certain others know. And the legacy will live on!

Author's reply

Many thanks for commenting. I'm sure Elboron and his descendants will guard the legacy well.

Neilia · 30 December 2007 · Chapter 12: L = Like the Legacy of Legolas

What a marvelous pair of drabbles, Linda. Arwen knowing her hope; Faramir seeing Hope not just restored but fulfilled. And the image of Numenor risen once more from the depths is so marvelous!

Author's reply

Thank you for your much appreciated review.I'm pleased you enjoyed these drabbles and my idea for what the dream meant.

shirebound · 3 December 2007 · Chapter 11: K - like kissing the King of Númenor.

Ooh, these are lovely, Linda. And this is especially interesting... I know now what my dream foretold; not destruction, but that Númenor would rise again from the depths

Author's reply

Thank you for your much appreciated review.I'm pleased you enjoyed these drabbles and my interpretation of the dream.

harrowcat · 3 December 2007 · Chapter 11: K - like kissing the King of Númenor.

Larner · 1 November 2007 · Chapter 10: J- like juggling the jewels of Fëanor.

Yes, everyone has expectations for him and wishes and deserves his attention; but there's a good many of them and but one of him! Poor man! Heh!

Author's reply

Many thanks for your much appreciated review.I felt sorry for poor Aragorn too.I think we all have days when we wishe we had as many arms as those statues of Indian deities!

Raksha The Demon · 31 October 2007 · Chapter 6: F = Like a Fearful Faramir

Interesting trio of drabbles. I especially liked the last one; what father wouldn't be nervous during the birth of his child, especially the first one? Of course, there's lots of yummy Aragorn/Faramir friendship here to please me as well...

Author's reply

Many thanks for your much appreciated review. The last one was my favourite too as you you know I Find Aragorn and Faramir friendship yummy too!

Raksha The Demon · 31 October 2007 · Chapter 9: I - like inspiring Ilúvatar.

Aw, I love the image of Arwen weaving with baby Eldarion on the blanket at her feet, playing with his toys. So does Aragorn; this is his dream come true; and it's not surprising he thinks of Iluvatar at this time.

Author's reply

Many thanks for your much appreciated review. I wish I could see the happy family together.

Raksha The Demon · 31 October 2007 · Chapter 10: J- like juggling the jewels of Fëanor.

Poor Aragorn is going to have to learn to multi-task; or recruit some good secretaries! Cute drabble; and an innovative response to the prompt.

Author's reply

Many thanks for your much appreciated review. This was a tough prompt to write.I think Aragorn spent so long doing everything himself,he needs to learn to delegate.

Raksha The Demon · 31 October 2007 · Chapter 8: H= Like a Hale Halbarad

Alas for Halbarad indeed! And hundreds of fanfickers sigh and think of AU's where Halbarad grows old in peace and prosperity during Aragorn's kingship of Gondor and Arnor. Nicely done, a lifetime of friendship and shared danger frozen in a hundred words.

Author's reply

Many thanks for your much appreciated review. I'm pleased you liked this, which I reworked quite a bit from the original.I wish Halbarad had lived but can't bring myself to write AU.

harrowcat · 13 October 2007 · Chapter 9: I - like inspiring Ilúvatar.

Larner · 12 October 2007 · Chapter 9: I - like inspiring Ilúvatar.

A fair and right question by the loving and proud husband and father. Lovely.

Author's reply

Larner · 12 October 2007 · Chapter 8: H= Like a Hale Halbarad

And we see the loss of one as dear as a brother to him--his first friend among Men, I believe. Well done, Linda.

Author's reply

Thank you. I agree with you that Halbarad was dear as a brother to Aragorn. I find their meeting on the road very moving.

Lindelea · 9 October 2007 · Chapter 8: H= Like a Hale Halbarad

Evocative and touching. I was just reading "...and my death lies beyond it" the other day, as a matter of fact. Well done.

Author's reply

Many thanks for your much appreciated review. This was my first attempt at writing Halbarad, a character I've always liked.I'm pleased you enjoyed it.
