Wow...this was awesome! I could only imagine the sadness in Elanor's heart at greeting her father for the last time, and I'm sure she knew, if not by his own word, then, at least, she knew it in her heart. Very well done! And I'll save the rest of my thougths on this lovely tale for my comments at MEFA where I discovered this sweet tale. :-)

Thank you so much, Pippinfan! I usually don't write about Sam, but he seemed to fit my quote to a tee! It was fun to write, too, trying to come up with things that fit each part of the quote. I'm glad you enjoyed it.

I enjoyed your story. The quote you used as inspiration could easily have been written about Samwise Gamgee. A good choice!
