Very clever version of The 12 Days!
Raksha The Demon · 8 January 2007 · Chapter 3: Day Three - Faramir's Dream (Faramir, Boromir, OC)
Beautiful, eloquent look at Faramir's dream of the wave, in the context of a child's schoolroom. Sad that he was burdened with it from such a young age, but I tend to think it gave him wisdom and inspiration.

Well done, Willow. This is quite a challenge! And to Gwynnyd, this may take a day or two to get through. so much of my reading on this site is done laaate at night, after closing the restaurant. I may have to spread this out a bit. But so far it looks like it will be worth it.

Ever serious, ever thoughtful, even as a very young child? yes, I too think so. The loss of his mother, his father's emotional distance after her death, added to more usual Numenorean foresight.... Yes, I believe he may have seen things from an early age.
Selene Aduial · 7 January 2007 · Chapter 11: Day Eleven - two hobbits pranking Gandalf (Merry, Pippin)
*grin* The elves won't know what hit them... with two hobbits running around being bored.
Selene Aduial · 7 January 2007 · Chapter 6: Day Six - Legolas sailing (Legolas, Gimli, Amrothos)
Gimli's worry was almost palpable at seeing Legolas sailing further and further out to sea. It's good we know he took him allong to Valinor.
Selene Aduial · 7 January 2007 · Chapter 12: Day 12 - my choice? (Aragorn, Faramir)
"So many elves. These are legends, not guests to entertain. Elrond, Galadriel, Glorfindel… the Balrog-Slayer himself? Coming here?" *snort* Poor Faramir, I could almost see his jaw drop to the floor. But I must admit that I would have done more than just squeek. ;) "Thank you. One more thing." Aragorn smiled but his eyes gave a sheepish twitch. Faramir braced himself. "I find I do not know the simplest things. Does Gondor have a queen's crown?" I wonder if Faramir will ever get used to Aragorn's sence of humor
RS · 7 January 2007 · Chapter 12: Day 12 - my choice? (Aragorn, Faramir)
"Will another round of banquets bankrupt Gondor?" ...(---50,000 dinners??!!!!)I love Aragorn's reply! My response at looking at the list would have been, "Oh My God!! (or is it Valor?), the Balrog-slayer is your Family??!! Faramir handled himself pretty well with his squeaky voice. This was a delight to read. Just wonderful.
meckinock · 7 January 2007 · Chapter 12: Day 12 - my choice? (Aragorn, Faramir)
I loved this. I could sympathize with Faramir's consternation - he must have seriously questioned his king's priorities, demanding another major shindig just a few months after the coronation, when the country is trying to rebuild from war. I chuckled at Aragorn's understated, "I have been expecting my family," and laughed out loud when the contents of his list were revealed. Poor Faramir. But of course the loveliest line was the last one - asking after the crown of the Queen. Well done, Gwynnyd!

"These are legends, not guests to entertain" Poor Faramir! What an event to have to plan. :D

Love it! What a delightful way to pass the time in Rivendell. :D

:-D As I wrote it it occured to me that this was the perfect time. Frodo et al deciding the fate of Middle-earth. Merry and Pippin short-sheeting their beds. Thanks for the comments!
