I adored each and every one of these precious tales. You had me in tears with Merry helping Pippin to stand, and then Pippin "reciprocating" by massaging Merry's cold and lifeless hand. Each tale was brilliant and a complete delight to read. :-) Happy New Year!

THe first and last ones are my favorites-- for the last one, i can never get enough of Merry anniversary fics with his helping out in slaying of the Witch-king. Good job in these. :)

These are wonderful! I adore the one in which Sam cuts up Frodo's meat for him. Sam's thoughts and his way are so very well done here. I always admire when someone writes Sam well because I have so much difficulty with him. I also liked Merry's Rohirric Whiskey given for 'emergency use.' That made me laugh.

These are very lovely. My favorite would have to be the last one, because it is so like Merry to keep his pain to himself, and so like Pippin to notice it despite his cousin's best efforts, and then want to comfort him. I love when Pippin is the comforter, and when Merry finally allows himself to be soothed! Very nice :)

Nicely done! You're right, the dates and places are important, but they serve well as titles-of-sorts, and from what I understand, titles don't count in the word-count of a drabble. You pack so much thought and emotion into such a compact package. It was so nice to see this just waiting to be read, a small and pleasant surprise, and short enough to be read in the few moments I have between unpacking and starting another load of clothes to washing.

All four of these scenes are so very comforting. Great volumes of love are spoken with very few words.
