Nicely and delicately done Garnet. Like Larner, I decided to reread the previous stories and am enjoying myself immensely.

I decided to read this preparatory to reading your new story. You can't know how happy I've been to see your name come up again! That Pippin should have sympathy morning sickness is so right! Lovely!
Nieriel Raina · 26 June 2014 · Chapter 2
I enjoyed this very much. I think you handled the delicate matter brilliantly. Nicely written tale!
Author's reply
Thank you. I'm glad you enjoyed it. Also I'm glad to see people reviewing older stories. :)

What a charming and entertaining story! A very interesting theory about why Pippin and Diamond only had one son. Bravo!
Author's reply
Wow! I didn't even know people were still reading my stories.:) Thank you so much for reading and reviewing. Glad you enjoyed the story and glad the theory was interesting to you.

Wonderfully written Garnet!! You have it so right that it was always assumed to be the wife who was infertile back then. I'm glad Strider was an informed healer. MEWD!!
Larner · 17 December 2007 · Chapter 2
Hooray! And Merry WOULD tease like that! Sympathetic pregnancy symptoms--have seen them in a friend. Yes, unusual but definitely heard of! Lovely, Garnet!
Author's reply
Yay! Yes, Merry would have to tease. You know he had to be happy for them, and, for him, what better way to show it. I'm glad you liked the sympathitic morning sickness. I just had to include that. My mom once told me that my dad had suffered it when she was pregnant with me, so I thought it would be fun to add. It also seemed to make sense because Pippin is such an empathitic person. Thanks again for the comments.
Larner · 17 December 2007 · Chapter 1
How did I miss this one? Must have been when the ISP from Mordor took over and I couldn't even get online at all for so long! Wonderful means of getting through this dilemma! Poor Pippin! Having been through fertility counseling--in our case both my husband and I each had our problems, which added up to only one possible conception that I couldn't retain--I feel with the two of them. Oh, how realistic this is!
Author's reply
Thanks for the comment Larner. Yes, this one has been up here a while, but it is still one of the stories I think about most. I'm actually working on a sequil, but it is not going real well at the moment.:) I'm glad you found the story realistic. Of all my close friends, I'm almost the only one who "didn't" have fertility problems. I had my best friend in my thoughts when I wrote this. I think that because I knew so many people facing this situation, I had always thought that Diamond was the one with the problem. The germ of this story had been in my mind since I was in highschool at least. It wasn't until Pippinfan1988 started poking at the bunny that it got written. I couldn't quite figure out the basis of the problem until Easter morning, 2006. All at once in came to me. I'm glad I was here by myself because I blurted out,"It's not Diamond, it him!"; and the story almost wrote itself from there. Thanks again for reading.

Pippin is suffering from sympathetic morning sickness.... I'm not laughing.... I'm not.... Oh yes I am! I can see that he wouldn't take the herbs again even for the sake of another baby - but they still might manage an unexpected infant now they don't have to fret about the succession. In fact, the way life goes, most likely as soon as having another kid is really inconvenient, they'll probably have twins!
Author's reply
I couldn't resist the sympathetic morning sickness. If it was going to happen to anyone, it'd happen to poor Pippin. I am working on an idea for a second story, but it doesn't want to be a happy one like this one was. I'm going to have to see just where the muse leads on that one. Thanks for reading. I am sorry it took me this long to reply. I was out of town for a week and a half. GT.

Wow. I really don't know what to say to this story, other than congratulations on such a good job dealing in a respectful, thoughtful and sensitive manner with a delicate subject.
Author's reply
Thanks. I wasn't sure how people would feel about this story. I'm glad to know that you felt it was handled well. It was something that had been in my thoughts for a long time. I just couldn't figure out who was having the difficulty, and once I did, well the story just came along. Thanks again for your very kind words. GT.

I think you did a wonderful job in hand ling a very delicate situation. It was a bit comical to read of Diamond's reaction to abstaining--lol, that was too cute. I'll bet she glad now. :-) I do hope your muse takes to on yet another adventure to give Faramir a little brother or sister...but of course I'll respect your choice. :-) Pippinfan
Author's reply
LOL! Yeah, I bet she was glad in the end. You're not the first to say that they would like to see lightning strike twice, if you know what I mean. I may cave in and see if they can do it again. Ooops, I think you just woke up the h/c muse. This may not go as y'all would like. GT.

Didn't realise that I didn't review chapter one Garnet - sorry. It was a great chapter. Was grinning this chapter from the moment that Pippin was feeling sick! Trust him to be so empathic as to suffer in sympathy!
Author's reply
I just had to do that to him. My Pippin is VERY empathic and would suffer for his dear wife. Plus, there is just something so funny about an expectant father puking every morning that I couldn't resist. Thanks for the review. GT.

I enjoyed reading you story of Pippin and Diamond and their quest to have a baby. Aragorn was great in trying to get to a solution, in a very embarassing situation.
Author's reply
Thanks for taking the time to read and leave a comment. I'm glad you liked it, and I'm glad you liked Aragorn. Chapter two should be posted either later today or tomorrow. GT.
Bodkin · 23 June 2006 · Chapter 1
Quite likely that reproductive issues are Pippin's problem - he was badly injured. And a good job that Aragorn is super-healer in his spare time - if anyone can sort the problem out, it'll be him. I wonder if, once they have one child, and the pressure on them is relieved, Diamond will find herself pregnant again - it seems to happen that way so often. (And often more than once, too!)
Author's reply
Oh, I'm so glad this seem plausable to you. For years I'd thought about this and always thought it was Diamond, and then it hit me that Pippin had been so badly hurt that it had to affected something. I'm going to post part two soon, so I don't want to give too much away so I'll not deal with the issue of more children just yet. Thanks for reading, and thanks so much for the review. GT.
Linda Hoyland · 20 June 2006 · Chapter 1
I love Aragorn and Pippin stories and this was very touching, the way the King and Queen help with kindness and tact. You also deal very tastefully with a difficult subject.
Author's reply
Thank you. I'm glad that you enjoyed it. I really love Aragorn as a healer, and it only seemed right that if the males were having dicussions about such things, then the females should be doing the same. I wasn't sure anyone would accept my take on this situation. I'm glad it held up for you. GT.
