EEee!
How did I miss this lovely story in March? Never mind, it's a very welcome, heartwarming bit of hobbit/puppy fluff, good for cheering one on a hot summer's day. I love how the people sent such generous gifts, and how wisely they were distributed. I love how the bird began to sing, announcing the arrival of Aragorn and Legolas -- a beautiful picture! And I love how the puppies chose their own Hobbits.
Thank you for sharing this delightful scene!

Thanks so much! I'm so happy that you went back and read this ficlet, and enjoyed it too. I thought it was important that the puppies chose their own hobbits, knowing somehow through instinct who they were meant to be with. :D

You know, I was afraid that having puppies at Cormallen would be going overboard. But why shouldn't they have puppies to snuggle and cuddle and keep them cheerful?
Those puppy plot bunnies you sprang on me yesterday have been nagging me as well.

Yes, there is a very strong chance of another chapter because Shirebound has been sending me fluffy puppy plotbunnies, and I have a few of my own that are begging me to write them...*sigh* There may be more puppies at Cormallen in the future :)

Thanks very much, harrowcat! I think there is nothing cuter than sleeping hobbits, not even dozing puppies! I might add to this someday...the birthday girl tried to send me new plot bunnies, of all the nerve! :)
