· Chapter 7: New Beginnings
"I want you both to know that living here has made me happier than I've been since my parents died," he began, then paused. "With the exception of Merry being born, of course. After talking with you, Uncle, I've realized that coming here isn't just a move across the Shire, but it should also be a move towards regaining the life I had before the accident. I've neer had better friends than you, Sam, and you Uncle Bilbo."
I must have missed this chapter somehow because I wasn't aware until now it had ended. Love the above, esp. the move towards regaining the life I had before the accident. He's learning joy again, the light we shall see later and I know those two, Sam and Bilbo, and Merry and soon Pippin, are the reasons for that. Best friends, forever, indeed!
Namarie, God bless, Antane :)

Oh Ellie! I almost had to go for the tissue box on that one...and not for my allergies, either. That was beautiful. It is so hard to move, but it's a wonderful thing when the move means new oppurtunities. Glad you loved teenpact! The classe over here is in May, so no, I haven't gone yet. I'll turn sixteen while at Teenpact. That will be a cool birthday! :) ANyway, thanks for the warm wishes on the term paper! Namarie, mellon nin!

*blush-again!* Thank you so much! Sixteen, exciting! Well, a very early happy birthday to you! When is it? Namarie, mellon nin!

This was great, Ellie. Poor Frodo...it is so easy to get into trouble when you're out of sorts. And the Bible does say bad company corrupts good character. It's happened to me a few times. I love your characters, and your writing style. Speaking of, I should go and write that term paper...*blusing*
Namarie, mell min!
God Bless,

Oh yes, pins and needles indeed! How did you know? I came on yesterday but forgot to connect, so I saw your story near top but I did not get to read the next chapter cause it wasnt there! (Elves are easily confused with theses new age internet things. *Heh*) And this chapter! Fro! You little!..you little.. Lets just say I never thought 'little fro' would learn all this stuff and be SUCH a tweenager. Sam is such a cute lil hobbit. ;) Alright! so when does our dear self-sacrificing hobbit grow up? Keep that keyboard going and going and...

I just guessed, mellon nin. Well, us hobbits aren't so far ahead, there's a button that says publish and a button that says preview, and I clicked the wrong one before I had the chapter typed. *Heh* Well, I always thought from certain stories in FOTR that Frodo was *quite* a trouble maker as a youngster. But he does have quite alot of growing up to do, and I have quite a few ideas left, we'll just see where this takes him.....

Oh my goodness, yes! Tweens and trouble seem to imply one another. Setting a whole bunch of frogs loose in the hall...LOL! LOL! Oh my goodness gracious, that's hilarious! I like the realistic way you portray Frodo, and I love Bilbo's fatherly love. Keep it up, keep it up! You know we love it!

Glad you got the publish button pushed at last.
So, Frodo deserves the title of rascal of Brandy Hall, does he? And setting the frogs loose at a large party was wonderful. Little Bro once caught a number he put in a gallon mayonnaise bottle, setting the lid loosely on it so they could breathe. He wasn't to bring them in the house but did, and set the jar on the shelves between the chimney and the wall.
Mom had a number of ladies from the church coming in, and one of the cats became interested in that jar. Not long after the last of the visitors came in, the cat knocked over the jar, and we outside heard screams as ladies came spilling out of the house and down the hill. It was quite a wonderful show, you see.
Glad Bilbo is finding Frodo amenable to correction. He's a nice lad, he is.
Author's reply
yes, well, i wasn't done typing it yet and accidentaly clicked the wrong button, so I had to go back and finish my typing *hehe* Your story is hilarious!!! Little boys get in so much trouble, don't they? Thanks for reviewing!

OOhh! Farmer Maggots some hobbit! I know why Frodo didn't really want
to meet him again in the book. Poor lad, but thats what you get when you
annoy someone like that old farmer who loves his mushrooms even more than
the young rascals I think. Bilbo! Will Frodo be sad to leave his family and
friends? Or is he to much like his uncle and loves adventure?
About time there was another chapter! How long must your fans wait for the next? He He ;) Have fun on your trip El! Namarie & God bless! QL Arwen
Author's reply
Poor lad indeed! Yeah, hobbits do love mushrooms quite alot, and Farmer Maggot was very upset about them pilfering his prized mushrooms. As for the rest, I'll probably post the next chapter tomorrow afternoon, or morning, but you'll have to wait another week, as I'll probably not post anything else till the 25th anniversary. A big sorry to all my adoring fans out there *Kidding! LOL* I'll write you about our trip when we get back. Btw, I might see you before then, as I'm staying with Goldberry.

Interesting foreshadowing moment there with the fiery eye. Poor Frodo.
"You're gonna get caught, just you wait and see!"
"Why is everybody always pickin' on me?"
Sorry--Charlie Brown crept in there.

Poor Frodo indeed. I do believe you are the first one to mention this. The thought popped into my mind, and I thought it rather strange, but after I wrote it I liked it. I hope it isn't too weird..... Thanks for reviewing!

Glad you liked it, girly! I'm not sure if it is. I haven't read any specifically about this, but there's one where Frodo has flashbacks about this period of his life. I'll have to look that up..... Anyways, talk to you later,

Uh-oh, not good. You show Frodo's rascally side very well. :) I quite enjoy your depiction of Saradoc as the softer father-type: "Oh, it's no harm. All lads do it when they're tweens." *grin* Poor Esme! And I like it that the older lads agree to go frog-hunting with Merry and don't shun him.
Just one thing, and this is up to you. You might change "okay" for "all right," as in this genre of fanfic modern words will sometimes throw people out of the story.
Are you planning on posting the first story in the series here? If not, can you give me the web address? Can't wait to see more of this!
God bless,
Galadriel
Author's reply
Hello! Glad you liked it! Ooops! I have a *bad* habit of writing modern talk, cause I use it in my origional stories. I'll have to change that! Thanks for reminding me! The first one will be posted probably the end of this month, because it's for Marigold's Challenges and you have to wait a certain amount of time before posting it elsewhere. Thanks for reviewing!
