I do love this one. I adore happy AUs and this is very happy indeed!
Larner · 19 September 2008 · Chapter 15: In the Morning
I so wish this had happened, myself. Love the image of Frodo throwing his daughter, named for his best friend, up in the air and teaching her she will ever be caught by loving hands. And I can think of few worthier hands for her to be caught by.
Larner · 4 September 2008 · Chapter 14: Stabat Mater
Sad, yet in the end the hope was met, and he found succor--and more still when he accepted the grace offered him. Thanks.
Author's reply
Oh Larner. I'm so sorry. I just saw the email today. It has been buried with al those junk mails. Thank you so much for reading and giving me feedback. You are always so supportive. ♥
Lily · 6 September 2007 · Chapter 14: Stabat Mater
*sobs* That's so sad! You know, in one thing it was good that Primula didn't see him return. It would have broken her heart. But watching from the distance probably wasn't much easier.
Author's reply
Oh, I agree with you. It must be so hard to see your son suffer so. :'( Thank you so much for reading, Lily!
Antane · 6 September 2007 · Chapter 14: Stabat Mater
Wow! Primula and Our Lady of Sorrows do have much in common, don't they? I never thought of that. Very interesting. Namarie, God bless, Antane :)
Author's reply
I just realized that when I read the poem. It was so sad. :( Thank you very much, Antane! I'm glad you enjoyed it.
Lotrgirl1415 · 6 September 2007 · Chapter 14: Stabat Mater

Author's reply
:) I adore you!
Larner · 16 August 2007 · Chapter 13: Am!
My friend Jeannette's daughter when that age did just this, also--identifying animals by the sounds they made. Oh, I can see this very well, Frodo giving Merry a moment to show what all he'd learned.
Author's reply
:D Those babies must be very cute! Thank you Larner, and I'm so sorry for the lateness.
Larner · 16 August 2007 · Chapter 12: Leaving
Perhaps a bit movie-verse as Frodo prepares to leave behind an Elanor capable of thinking the doll's presence will comfort him as well as comfort the doll; but so much a realistic look at Frodo's realization that although he must leave to find the healing he needs, yet a part of his heart dwells ever here.
Author's reply
Yes, it's more movie verse. And Frodo knows he will always remain in the Shire in such a way. Thank you, Larner.
Larner · 16 August 2007 · Chapter 11: Dream of the Sea
In the end it was the wash of waves that helped ease the pain engendered by the Ring, after all. Legolas and he together perhaps recognize they both suffer from the same malady, although Legolas will hold his at bay until Aragorn is gone from this world. But there is reassurance in knowing one is not alone.
Author's reply
Oh, I always love your interpretation. Thank you, Larner. *hugs*
Larner · 16 August 2007 · Chapter 10: Homesick
The Ring robbed him of so very much in the end.
Author's reply
It did. He could never heal.
Larner · 16 August 2007 · Chapter 9: Shaft of Light
Frodo was not the only one who suffered from the presence of the Ring on the chain about his neck.
Author's reply
No, he wasn't. *hugs you*
Larner · 16 August 2007 · Chapter 8: Paintings
The time approaches, and in your view he faces it alone. Poor Frodo--but it is time now to rest.
Author's reply
I'm glad he has a chance to rest. (((((you)))))
grumpy · 25 March 2006 · Chapter 7: The Oath
Oh poor Eldarion, this is a sad time for him. very good drabble.
Author's reply
Hi. Thank you very much for reading and leaving comments. I'm so sorry it takes me too long to answer. *hugs*
Larner · 24 March 2006 · Chapter 7: The Oath
Oh, I can see this, too. I didn't quite write it this way myself, but I can certainly see this.
Author's reply
Thank you very much, Larner. And I'm very sorry for replying to you this late.
Tigger · 23 March 2006 · Chapter 7: The Oath
Oh!! I'm sitting here w/tears in my eyes and a lump in my throat. Aragorn knew how strange it would be to Eldarion for Arwen to simply leave after his passing. His last act of love to his son. So bittersweet, but beautiful as well. Thank you for sharing this w/us.
Author's reply
*hugs you gently* Thank you for liking this. I'm very glad. Btw, so sorry for not replying earlier.
Larner · 16 March 2006 · Chapter 6: Not All Tears Are an Evil
I take it this is a reference to the recognition on the Field of Cormallen. And I, too, would be weeping with solemn joy there, I think.
Author's reply
Yes, it's about that episode. The time when all should cherish it. :)
Larner · 16 March 2006 · Chapter 5: Serenade to Spring
And very likely they delight to know consummation at being stepped upon. Am reminded of a scene from Lewis's "The Great Divorce" in which the earth of heaven rejoices to be ridden over by a man on a horse.
Author's reply
Oh, that's a very interesting idea! I haven't read the book but it would be great to have something from the grass's POV. :) Thanks so much!!
Larner · 16 March 2006 · Chapter 4: Ausa
A sad apparition indeed for our lad.
Author's reply
:) Thank you, Larner. It came about after I browsed the dictionary of Quenya.
Periantari · 1 March 2006 · Chapter 2: Serene
This is so beautiful. I love yoru description and that Frodo felt serene--i like serene Frodo. =)
Author's reply
Although I don't really love 'serene' Frodo... LOL, I thank you so much for reading and giving me feedback. :)
Larner · 1 March 2006 · Chapter 3: Stay
Yes, the epitome of the stubborn Baggins line here, Frodo insistent on being responsible, Bilbo insistent on being responsible for his own lad.
Author's reply
Oh yes. I didn't realize that. :D Thank you so much for your feedback, Larner. ^_^
Larner · 1 March 2006 · Chapter 2: Serene
The image of Frodo being wrapped in a shroud as a defense against cold is a chilling one. But he is apparently half floating in the peace he finds at the moment.
Author's reply
He is in the peace. Thank goodness. Thank you, Larner!
Larner · 1 March 2006 · Chapter 1: How Can You Mend?
And so the unfamiliar becomes jarring. Holocaust survivors found that they felt fully alive while in the camps, perhaps because their adrenaline flow was kept at peak level to keep them alert to danger for so long. As a result, return to a "normal" life seemed terribly grey, for they appeared to have burnt out their ability to feel strong emotions, particularly strong pleasure, which after all is part of what keeps us willing to face another day after having lived with disappointments and so on.
Author's reply
So that's why. At first I thought those kinds of people somehow missed the situation where they had to be alert. But that's not the case, of course. Btw, thank you for reading and commenting, Larner!
Frodo Baggins · 28 February 2006 · Chapter 2: Serene
Aww! Short and sweet! I love it, Iorhael! Namarie! God Bless, Frodo Baggins
Author's reply
God bless you too, FB87! *kisses*
