I liked the story. I'm not much for h/c, but you kept good convinsing pace to your narration, with no pause to think about medical possibility. Aragorn's not very concentrated reflections as he rides came off most credible. I wish we knew more about villains.

A pleasure to read your new version of this lovely story.I think you missed out a bit I liked about both Aragorn and Eomer seeing Faramir in a new light but I loved the extended healing scene and the story flows more smoothly.

Thanks! A better flowing story was what I was aiming for, so this is good news. Yes, I did leave out the bit you refer to - I couldn't decide where to place it and not make it sound forced, so in the end I left it out. But I think the small shifts in their relationships can be derived from bits and pieces throughout the story.

WOW! ellethill that was AMAZING! I read it at work (when I'm not allowed to be online, go figure!) so I read really fast, but I just loved it. What a phenominal story of love, dispair, forgivness..... WOW. And to tie it all together at the end with a wedding tradition... le sigh!
I can't begin to compliment you enough on this wonderful story. Thank you so much for sharing this with us!

This was just lovely !I especially liked the line "The man would surely die for me, yet cannot laugh with me" as a dedicated writer of Aragorn and Faramir friendship stories ! I especially liked the way you depicted Aragorn and Eowyn and Eomer's change of attitude towards Faramir, who is also beautifully portrayed.
You have a couple of typos "Bread" for "bred" and "witch" for "Which",I have the same problem with "Word".
I enjoyed this very much, thank you for a good read.

I am MOST impressed by your writings.
You do credit to Tolkien's words, and the images in my own mind.
My novice attempts have paled in comparison.

WOW! I loved how you drew so much from the style equated with old lais and midieval stories--I often think in reading the originals, that that was one of the Professor's goals as well. Well, will hopefully return when i have time for a longer review, but for now: wonderful job!
