Lovely ending, tying the two events together. Love those hobbits and their love for each other! Namarie, God bless, Antane :)

I love Nazgul wounding fics and this is no exception--wonderful angst, wonderful description. I really like the Yule memory a lot. Poor Frodo for being burned. Thanks for this. :)

Thank you. I wanted the story to emphasize how strong Frodo was when there was a need. It was written in response to a request from someone disappointed with the way he was presented in the movies. Thanks again, I'm glad you liked this.

Very nice--I like it that it was his concern for his family's pain that kept him anchored.
Author's reply
I can't think of anything that would motivate him more strongly. Thanks for your feedback. :)

Well, this could certainly explain at least one reason why Bilbo called Frodo "the best hobbit in the Shire"!
Author's reply
It could very well be. Thanks for reading the story, and for your feedback.

This is just wonderful. I really enjoy stories that link the past to the present, and you show the hobbits' love for one another -- and their strength of will -- to be a force to be reckoned with. The Witch-king never anticipated such a thing!
Author's reply
It's true. Hobbits are easy to underestimate but people who do usually realize too late what a mistake that is. I'm glad you enjoyed the story and it's flashback. It was a very interesting one to write.

Ahh - I am very glad I badgered you for a chance to read this. It was good, had some nice use of parallels and you have a wonderful grasp of metaphor. Well done.

Thank you, I'm glad you enjoyed it. I thought a flashback from the past would be appropriate given the nature of the story. Thanks again for liking it. :)
