How lovely! What a sweet little interaction between Wee Pip and his Da, and how dear of Gandalf to take the time to make a small hobbit-lad's evening.

Thanks so much! Gandalf is so wonderfully patient with wee hobbits, isn't he? No wonder they grow up to love and trust him so. And as for Paladin and Pippin, I've sort of made it my mission to write them as having a very good, loving father-son relationship. I'm so happy you liked this story! :)

This blasted computer cut off my review! I was saying how, adorable though this story is, there is a sadder note to it when Paladin and Pippin begin talking of adventure, not knowing of the adventure Pippin would be getting himself into in the future. Very nice story, I loved it. Sorry that my review got cut off!!
