harrowcat · 14 April 2010 · Chapter 40: I will take the Ring, though I do not know the way.
Yes, definitely angsty for a birthday but a great contrast in emotions nonetheless.

Larner · 25 August 2009 · Chapter 19: The Battle of Bywater
I don't remember this one, Lin. How tragic! Poor Hildibold! At least Frodo made him stop when all had given up!
Author's reply
Yes, Frodo kept him from having innocent blood on his conscience for the rest of his days. I love that description of Frodo at the Battle of Bywater. Thanks!
Larner · 24 August 2009 · Chapter 23: The Battle of Bywater, afterwords
Ah, but it has been a while since I read this last, I see. Still moving, and so appropriately Hobbity! I'll be down Monday the sixth, by the way. Hoping to see you then!
Author's reply
Looking forward to seeing you when you arrive. With the cool rains arriving, hot chocolate seems just the thing. *sigh* How I love hobbits and hobbity things. Thanks!
Dreamflower · 17 June 2008 · Chapter 33: Topsy-Turvy
ROTFL!! What a sight that must have been! It's a shame Frodo didn't leave it that way for the S.-B.s! But I suppose he didn't want them coming after him, LOL! The ants-and-honey is in my story "Conspiracy of Hobbits" in Chapter 20, near the end. Fortunately, Gandalf wasn't anywhere near Bag End at the time--Pippin left a plate of honey under the bed, a jar of ants, and the window propped open, as a, shall we say, housewarming gift for the S.B.s.
Merry · 14 April 2008 · Chapter 3: I See the Moon and the Moon Sees Me
Wow! This is beautiful!

Thanks!
harrowcat · 7 March 2008 · Chapter 39: Another Journey South
We do miss some of the strangest things! Pippin is right to replace bad memories with good!
Author's reply
That's right. I'm glad Merry interrupted before Pippin could spoil the cheery mood by bringing up Boromir, Gandalf and Frodo, whose absence also makes things quite different.
Larner · 7 March 2008 · Chapter 39: Another Journey South
Ah--Merry deserved that! Hurrah!
Author's reply
LOL, if ever someone deserved a faceful of snow, he did!
Grey Wonderer · 6 March 2008 · Chapter 39: Another Journey South
That was very funny. I loved Merry in this.
Author's reply
LOL, I love them both! (Um... is there any penalty for stating the obvious?)
Esquire_of_Rohan · 6 March 2008 · Chapter 39: Another Journey South
Very funny! I enjoyed this!
Author's reply
Thanks!
Dreamflower · 6 March 2008 · Chapter 39: Another Journey South
Oh yes, I can see our dignified Knights of Rohan and Gondor doing just this! After all, it *wouldn't* be the same, would it? *giggle* By the way, I forwarded you an answer from our "consultant"!
Author's reply
LOL, I think Pippin is making as much sense as usual, if not more! Thanks, got it, continuing to chip away. Muchly appreciative! Will be sure to add a note of credit for both of you!
Pearl Took · 6 March 2008 · Chapter 39: Another Journey South
If Caradhras won't throw the snow . . . I like this a lot!!
Author's reply
LOL, indeed!
shirebound · 15 January 2008 · Chapter 38: Vigil
You bring so much emotion in so few words! They say you fought bravely... I didn't see it, but I believe it. Wonderful.
Author's reply
Drabbles are amazing, aren't they? Saw you finished your tale of the Lake (did you? or is there another chapter?) but am not quite up to sitting long enough to read a chapter, especially when my cough med isn't kicking in. But have saved the link for later... looking forward to the reading.
Merry · 15 January 2008 · Chapter 38: Vigil
Very good! I enjoyed it!
Author's reply
Thank you!
Larner · 15 January 2008 · Chapter 38: Vigil
Bless the two of them, as Pippin holds on to his Merry's hand--and his soul. Very good, Lindelea.
Author's reply
Thank you. I know that Merry would do the same for Pippin. *sigh* (and did, at Cormallen)
Grey Wonderer · 15 January 2008 · Chapter 38: Vigil
I do love this. So filled with emotion. Brilliant drabble just like always.
Author's reply
Thank you. Author Reply: (snork, just realised I was just now mindlessly repeating myself in responding to reviews. Ought to take a page out of your book and overhear a dialogue between Merry and Pippin, perhaps. But what I really need to do is hit the pillow.)
Grey Wonderer · 27 October 2007 · Chapter 37: ...and the sound of a battered heart, beating
Frodo is exactly right. Like drinking posion...
Author's reply
Thank you.
Larner · 27 October 2007 · Chapter 37: ...and the sound of a battered heart, beating
Oh, how true, Lindelea! How all too true.
Author's reply
Thanks, my friend.
Neilia · 27 October 2007 · Chapter 37: ...and the sound of a battered heart, beating
Lindelea; I have enjoyed your tales and drabbles for quite some time without leaving a comment. I would like to remedy that laziness right now. You are one of the best authors on SOA and, along with many others, your tales are safely kept on my hard drive and backed up religiously. This chapter is no different. I especially love the last sentence. Forgiveness is acually the key to a true Christian...always has been. Love and hugs, Neilia
Author's reply
Neilia, Belated thanks for stopping by and taking time to leave a comment, indeed, encouragement and high praise. I apologise for taking so long to respond.
Pearl Took · 27 October 2007 · Chapter 37: ...and the sound of a battered heart, beating
A wise lesson to pass on. Beautifully done Lin!
Author's reply
Thank you, Pearl.
harrowcat · 27 October 2007 · Chapter 37: ...and the sound of a battered heart, beating
Brilliant Lindelea and so true.
Author's reply
Thank you for your encouragement.
eiluj · 27 October 2007 · Chapter 37: ...and the sound of a battered heart, beating
Oh, very true! And so many people -- tragically -- just can't do it.
Author's reply
(Belated) Thanks!
Dreamflower · 27 October 2007 · Chapter 37: ...and the sound of a battered heart, beating
Ouch! Oh, Lin! This is so *painfully* beautiful--from the title to the last sentence. A very moving use of 100 words! And yes, that *is* post-Quest Frodo.
Author's reply
Thanks. Finally getting around to answering reviews...
Larner · 21 October 2007 · Chapter 36: Curtains for Frodo
Wonderful Hobbit thought, logic, and persuasion. Poor Bilbo--things DO need to be replaced from time to time, after all!
Dreamflower · 20 October 2007 · Chapter 36: Curtains for Frodo
Oh Elwen should *love* this, LOL! Making curtains for Frodo--isn't she going to feel privileged!
Dreamflower · 20 October 2007 · Chapter 35: I see hobbits everywhere, you know
*giggle* I read this and imagine that pic SB posted--and think of the comments that could have been made... You were quite wise to choose pumpkins over bananas. ;-)
