This is so full of wonder. So full of light! Such a joy and an uplift. My mind needs the contrast between between the darkness of my "Fear" and the glowing joy, beauty and happiness of "HEALED". This is indeed a blessing.

You have just out done yourself, Shirebound! This chapter was SO beautiful from start to finish it just squeezed my heart!
QUOTES:

“I am trying,” Pippin sighed. “I think they only talk to you, Sam.”
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
LOL! Poor Pip! So hard to be quiet long enough to listen! :p
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
“Not so,” Sam smiled...
Celebrían chuckled quietly. “Not so” was an expression Elrond used often.
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
I LOVE that element that you have included! The hobbits would pick up the habits and speech patterns of those around them...not just the language. Brilliant!
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
“Does it bother you, Pippin, that we all look different?”
“’Course not,” Pippin giggled. “Everybody’s different. It would be too boring, otherwise.” He looked into the Elf lord’s ageless eyes, puzzled. “Don’t you think so?”
“I certainly do,” Elrond smiled. “Ah, young one, how did you grow so wise, so soon?”
“Look!” Pippin said again, pointing to where a flock of white gulls flew over the sparkling water. And Elrond lifted him high, swinging him up, up... until Pippin felt that he almost had wings, himself.
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
Awww!! I'm so glad you included that as well because that is something that has always bothered me when I think of Frodo gone away. I just had a hard time imagining him happy with only Bilbo there for another hobbit to be with (no offense to Bilbo, but you know!)
Fantastic job!!

This is so interesting. It is strange to think of Bilbo the same or nearly the same age as the others. I also wonder what the differences in the way they have been raised will do to each hobbit's personality. I loved Sam with the plants.

Oh, this is so sweet it should not be allowed to be read this soon after consuming all the goodies at Thanksgiving. I get the feeling that Pippin has managed once again to wrap all the adults around his little finger. I just love it. I hope there are more than one or two more chapters. This is fun. I'm looking forward to watching the hobbits grow and come into the full promise of their gifts.
Thanks for sharing this.

How did I miss this story??? I just read all 4 chapters now and I love seeing all five(!) hobbits as youngsters and together again. I wish it could have happened that way, it's so beautiful. And I'm glad I found this, however belated. Eagerly awaiting more! :)

Loved that chapter. Loved the description of Yavanna visiting [Sam] and how everyone reacted to her appearance. That was a serious "wow" moment! Whew! Also loved Elrond playing with Pippin - footprints in the sand, Ahhhh! - and their discussion, too.
Again, I can't wait for the next part - this story just keeps getting better and better.

I love the image of Sam teaching Pippin how to listen to the song of the plants. They each have their own unique gifts that they share with each other. I also love Pippin's awareness and complete acceptance of the differences of each of his friends, hobbit and elf.

Shirebound! Guh!!!! I love this story so much!! This chapter was so sweet and lovely!
QUOTE:
“Pippin,” Merry said with utter certainty, “we will know each other. How could we not?”
Pippin smiled and leaned his forehead against his cousin’s. “You’re right,” he whispered. “How could we not?”
~Oh! Indeed! How could they NOT?!? ~
QUOTE:
“It is Yavanna who would need to give permission to disturb the tree,” Galadriel mused. “Perhaps...”
“So you believe that even the Valar would be charmed by our little ones?” Celebrían chuckled
~But of course! Who WOULDN'T be?!? ~
QUOTE:
“Yes,” Celebrían replied. “I long to see my own children, and always will -- but the hobbits have helped to heal my heart. I could not love them more.”
~Aww! *happy sigh!* This part actually made me tear up! Hobbits! Good for what ails ya!~
And I loved the bird at the end!
Can't wait for more!
Thank you!
Blessings!

Love the older hobbit / younger hobbit contrast. (Why do Merry and Pippin get to go this time?)
An image I love - Bilbo running everywhere. He was soooo old and now he has been youthed.

Oh, I love it, loveit, loveit! I just want to hug and squeeze the toddler hobbits, especially my beloved Pippin.:)
Please say this is going to be longer than just four chapters.
I love Merry's protectiveness, even as a small child.
Now I'm just giddy. I think you perked up my whole afternoon.
Thanks.

I love the way you started out with the older Merry and Pippin, apprehensive about forgetting each other, and then when they had reverted, how protective Merry was of Pip, even though now they will be the same age, and not have an eight year gap between them. I notice that Bilbo, Frodo and Sam are now children. So how much "older" (in practical terms) are they than wee!Merry and wee!Pip? And I noticed a few hints that someday far down the line, they might remember their old lives--that would be good if they could without pain.

I love how reassuring and certain Merry is that he and Pippin will know each other after the change, but then after the change comes, it's Merry who is frightened and needs reassurance. And of course, Frodo knows exactly what to do.
Part of me thinks it's sad that they are unable to remember each other from before, although of course that's the only way this could work, but I know they will all love each other just as much now, and forge new memories of each other.

This is really cute so far. I've learned to trust you to write excellent AU's even if they sound a little strange at first. I heartily agree that Aragorn should at some point be written in, since this is already AU.
