I hope she does return to her family in the end. Books are wonderful and libraries are great places to bury yourself, but one day she might just wake up and realise that she is an elf. A lovely story.

Thanks, Bodkin. Oddly enough, right after I posted this I came across your story about Mithrellas which deals with some of the same themes - I just started reading it and am enjoying it very much.
