Andrea · 23 May 2005 · Chapter 10: 20. Halimath 1368
"Adventures! Not with my child, dear Bilbo! Not until my baby is a lot older anyhow." That's Primula! Always wanting to protect her little one, but she's not strictly against adventures. Well, when Frodo is "a lot" older, he will have his own adventure. I wonder, how things would have been, if Primula had been there to see him off!
Author's reply
I often wonder that too - especially when writing down memories of her in Schicksalsjahre eines Hobbits. I'm sure things would have been a lot different if Drogo and Primula hadn't had that accident. Maybe Frodo would never have gone on an adventure.
Starfire_Moonlight · 23 May 2005 · Chapter 10: 20. Halimath 1368
Another great chapter! So, I guess the baby won't come until the 22, right? Ya, thats right. Can't wait to read the next chapter! :D
Author's reply
Yep, the 22 will be the day when the child will be born.
shirebound · 23 May 2005 · Chapter 10: 20. Halimath 1368
Eeeee, I can't wait until Primula finally sees her precious baby! And I love this: "Still, I am pleased that Bilbo came over to Buckland to have a look at the new Baggins. And two days before his birthday at that - a fact he keeps joking about saying that my child is waiting until that date to be born." :D
Author's reply
Believe me, I am as nervous as you are - and Primula for that matter :)
Larner · 10 May 2005 · Chapter 9: 9. Halimath 1368
Following this one again. It's been a while. I feel with Primula as she counts down the days now. Soon, soon the little one will be there.
Author's reply
I'm sure it will be quite a reorganisation for her once the little one is here. Thanks for reading!
Hobbit Lass21 · 9 May 2005 · Chapter 9: 9. Halimath 1368
Thank you for updating this! *giggles* I feel almost as tense as she does....this captures her feelings so wonderfully! Love it, fabulous, wonderful, etc!
Author's reply
You know, I somehow feel tense too :) I'm glad you like the way I descripe her feelings. Since I have never been pregnant I am always happy when people find it believable.
ShireElf · 8 May 2005 · Chapter 9: 9. Halimath 1368
Ahhhhhhhhhh . . . a tiny cliffhanger . . . why?? *faints* I can't wait for your next chapter, Lily! Your stories are really good!
Author's reply
Thank you so much!
Andrea · 8 May 2005 · Chapter 9: 9. Halimath 1368
"I am nervous, my little one, but I will try my best. Do not be too hard on your mother." Don't be afraid Primula, I'm sure he won't ;-) No boy's name yet? But Primula is right: a special hobbit deserves a special name!
Author's reply
Well, I think Frodo has been an exhausting child at times - just like every child is. But I'm sure Primula will do well.
Starfire_Moonlight · 8 May 2005 · Chapter 9: 9. Halimath 1368
Its been nine months, right? Yeah, nine month, nine chapters. You really do a good job at describing what Primula might have gone through. Really. You do. Keep up the great work! :D
Author's reply
Thanks a lot! This means a lot to me since I have never been pregnant :)
shirebound · 8 May 2005 · Chapter 9: 9. Halimath 1368
"Everything will change once the little one arrives. I will actually *be* a mother and not someone imagining what it will be like to be one." How true! I wonder how many people feel that way! I love that she wants to give a special child a special name. :D
Author's reply
I'm glad you think that way. The idea with a special name is partly thanks to Ariel who said that this particular paragraph needed a word or two more about the speciality of the name. :)
Hobbit Lass21 · 29 April 2005 · Chapter 8: 12. Wedmath 1368
Oh, more please! Primula/Frodo-ness always makes me so happy.....I don't think my mind would be able to stand it if you didn't continue......I'd be content if you continued this particular story forever and ever and ever and ever...
Author's reply
Don't worry, I will continue! Though, I fear, not forever.
Desidera · 13 April 2005 · Chapter 8: 12. Wedmath 1368
*loool* Oh, that was cute!! Arguing about the name! But I agree with Primula, I wouldn't like the names Drogo chose either. Well, the girls' names are alright, but the boys'... It's a good thing I know they'll find a nice name in the end - and the best ever, in my opinion. I mean, Frodo is beautiful.
Author's reply
Frodo is beautiful. Never heard a truer comment :) But I agree, Frodo is one of the most beautiful names for a male in the Shire.
Andrea · 12 April 2005 · Chapter 8: 12. Wedmath 1368
Well, I think "Folco" is a nice name, too. But I'm really curious, how Primula will end up with "Frodo" - and, of course, Drogo's reaction on it! He will like it, I'm sure! Have you ever read "The history of the Lord of the Rings"? There you can see, that Tolkien, too, came not directly up with the name "Frodo". In the first drafts the name of Bilbo's air was "Bingo". But from the beginning on he was accompanied by a cousin and that cousin's name was Frodo. And his last name was Took, not Baggins. But after a time Tolkien decided, that the name "Bingo" was not fitting and he switched over to "Frodo". A wise decision!
Author's reply
I have read HoMe I, II and parts of number VI (the long comments in small letters sometimes just are too much for me) but... yes, thankfully Tolkien made up his mind about Frodo. Just the thought of writing stories about Bingo... *shudders* Primula and I have quite the same taste when it comes to names and her despair about boy's names was partly taken from my own. Naming OC at times is more difficult than to give them a personality. Yet, every hobbit named Marroc, no matter how nice his character might be in another story will never gain my sympathy. :)
shirebound · 10 April 2005 · Chapter 8: 12. Wedmath 1368
I never even thought to wonder how Frodo got his name! What a delightful concept.
Author's reply
Thanks! The thought that Frodo's name would be certain from the very begining sounded somewhat unrealistic to me so I had to come up with some kind of discussion :)
chaos · 23 February 2005 · Chapter 7: 20. Afterlithe 1368
ich shcreib mal auf deutsch. So eien niedliche geschihte.
Desidera · 17 February 2005 · Chapter 7: 20. Afterlithe 1368
Very very sweet chapter!!! sorry it took me so long to review it! Drogo is a great hobbit, worrying about his child! And Primula is so strong and confident - a real mother. And they're so much in love. The setting at the river was chosen very well, it fit the mood. The wind...*sigh* I get all romantic reading it. I thought Primula's comment about Drogo trusting her so sweet! Thanks for the great chapter!
Author's reply
Thank you for the sweet comment!
Larner · 1 February 2005 · Chapter 7: 20. Afterlithe 1368
Beautiful.
Larner · 1 February 2005 · Chapter 5: 8. Thrimidge 1368
I find myself waiting for that next small movement with Primula. Thanks for writing this.
Author's reply
I was waiting too, but things (un-)fortunatelly take their time. Thanks for reading.
Ariel · 1 February 2005 · Chapter 7: 20. Afterlithe 1368
I am constantly impressed with how much better each and every chapter of this fic is from the previous one. You are becoming a wonderful author, Lily, right before my eyes, and it is a joy to see! Bravo!
Author's reply
Thank you so much! Without your help I would never have come this far.
shirebound · 31 January 2005 · Chapter 7: 20. Afterlithe 1368
I'm enjoying this story so much. It's impossible to forget about what will happen to this family... eventually... but little phrases like this -- "There is so much love and joy in his eyes I cannot do other but embrace and kiss him again." I just melt. :D
Author's reply
I can make you melt? *squee*
shirebound · 27 December 2004 · Chapter 6: 24. Forelithe 1368
I love these diary entries so much, and this one is extra soft and gentle and loving and happy... *sigh* Frodo is so very *wanted*. What a blessing for any child.
Author's reply
Thank you so very much!

"Are you sleeping again or just resting? Do you feel my hand when it rests on my belly just as I feel you?" Awwwwww!!! :D
Author's reply
Primula is a dear, isn't she?
Larner · 14 November 2004 · Chapter 4: 22. Astron 1368
Another series I'm looking forward to following. Well written.
Author's reply
Thank you so much!
shirebound · 13 November 2004 · Chapter 4: 22. Astron 1368
"A lot of warm hugs and baby-snuggling is very tempting, after all. Do you hear that, little one? You can be as snugly as you want to be. Your father and I will give you all the warmth and care you need." Well, you have to know that just melted me into a happy puddle! You caught a fearful/hopeful mother's thoughts and feelings beautifully, I think. This child is coming into a loving home, and what could be better?
Author's reply
Thank you so much! This child is coming into a loving home indeed - if only it would last longer than it actually does.
Iorhael · 5 October 2004 · Chapter 3: 18. Rethe 1368
Yeah, Primula should know everything will be alright with her baby. And it should have been vice versa.
Author's reply
She should not worry too much, you're right.
