I liked this. It's sincere, deep, well thought out and well written. You said exactly what I have always felt about Elrond, that he was constantly divided between his Elven and Human halves. The part about Celeborn and his attitude towards his son in law was also well thought out. As far as fathers are concerned nobody is ever good enough for their daughters!
As for Hugo Weaving, well, my best memory of him is when I worked for Polygram Films who made Priscilla Queen of the Desert. Hugo won't remember, but he used to sit on the corner of my desk and borrow my telephone to make calls. My boss used to yell at him for doing it because he said I couldn't get on with my work! Hugo was there because of the publicity for the movie. He used to wink at me and then sneak back to make more calls when my boss wasn't looking. Naughty boy!
