ROFL-was wondering if someone would adress the Weaving issue,

Beren · 14 May 2004 · Chapter 7: Pippin's Goodbye

I loved the last haiku, specially the last verse, it was really moving!

Thank you, Beren!

Lindelea · 13 May 2004 · Chapter 4: Merry, Pippin, and Elanor

Very nice, contrasting the three births. Nice progression. How about something like: Merry surprised them-- Esmeralda was "barren"! Brandybucks rejoiced.

Lindelea · 13 May 2004 · Chapter 3: Frodo and Elanor

Very poignant. The last grouping is especially telling. We suffer loss... and move on with life. (Still, things are never *quite* the same, are they?)

Lindelea · 13 May 2004 · Chapter 2: Ditzy Reviewers

Whew! Glad you put in that explanatory note! Otherwise I might have thought you were casting aspersions on us reviewers!

Author's reply

LOL - not by any means do I mean my reviewers but rather these crazy critics who obviously have never read the trilogy!

shirebound · 13 May 2004 · Chapter 1: Grey Shores

These are lovely. (They don't all conform to the strict 5-7-5 rule of haiku, but that doesn't take away from their beauty.) I especially like the first one.

Author's reply

Thank you, shirebound, I tried to stay within the 5-7-5 rule but obviously I was a bit tired when I wrote "Grey Shores". Anyway, I hope to improve myself, and perhaps be able to stay within the 5-7-5 rule but if not I hope to convey some of the ideas I have with the words I choose. Thanks again and I look forward to more of "Mind To Mind"!
