· Chapter 2: Each My Own
For ages long have I loved these stories. You are the story master. Long have you dwelt in Middle Earth, telling your tales, so we might glimpse a bit of lore, otherwise forgotten or scoffed as old wives tales. Thank you, my friend. :)

· Chapter 4: Gamgees, Brandybucks and Tooks
Poor little Ruby! She will never be able to hear her mother sing! It hardly seems far that this should happen to one of Sam's children or to anyone for that matter! But it does make the characters seem more realistic. I looooooooved the description of Merry and Pippin haha thats all it really needs!

· Chapter 12: Travels to Rivendell
SERIOUSLY! Which sword IS he looking at? Hahahaha “catastrophic,” I love Merry and Pippin, BOTH generations! But my poor little Ruby!

Awww! I love that his seemingly favorite was "Fro" (next to "eat" I'm sure :)). I Love the way that you portray him looking up to Frodo like Pippin looks up to him.

· Chapter 10: Six Meals a Day
I love this:
You think it is the splendor of Ruby’s cake that makes these excursions such a delight, but someday you
will know that this sweet joy is the taste of friendship.
Very, very true.

Oh, how beautiful and poetic! And the description of Frodo as winter is heartbreaking!

· Chapter 6: Hotcakes at Four
Aww. I love the way you write the hobbits and the fellowship. And how very like Pippin to suggest hotcakes at four in the morning! LOL! Nothing's ever going to change that young one's appetite!

· Chapter 5: The Great Adventure
I'm so glad you portray Pippin as having faith in Bilbo here. I've seen it otherwise and don't particularly care for the idea that Pip would just play along. "He's out there, somewhere, on the great adventure." Beautifully said!

· Chapter 4: Gamgees, Brandybucks and Tooks
I love this! I'm always interested to see how different authors portray all these characters we never get to meet in the books, and you bring them to life beautifully.

· Chapter 3: Five, Three, One
LOL! Very sweet! I can just see Pippin and Merry having a contest to see how many babies are named for them! And it's about time Sam had a namesake.

· Chapter 2: Each My Own
But it is Briony who puts Faramir to bed at night, and dresses him for festivities. It is Briony
he comes to when his body or his heart have been bumped and scraped and bruised. It is Briony who rocks him when he cries for his mother, and it is Briony
he presents with toads and marbles and birds’ eggs and the other treasures of his young life.
This brought a tear to my eye. I've always liked Briony, and this was very sweet and touching.
