I love this vision in my head of three little elflings coloring, and being watched over by Elowen. She is a grand mother, and I am so glad Legolas had this place of normalcy to go. Very adorable and cute ficlet :D Whatever were you thinking - you create this perfect little family, make us love Annael and Elowen - and then kill their father/husband? Boy, you're mean. I am going for more tar and feathers. Where is Karen?

I have always loved Elowen, and this sweet story just reinforced that love I feel for her. What a sweet "substitute" for a mother Legolas was blessed with. He was so fortunate to have this wonderful family in his life to help him heal, to allow him to simply be a friend, and to give him a home as a refuge through the years.
