I liked this a lot, jenolas. I wasn't expecting the humor at the end. The tone of the piece was elegant and noble. And the inscription wasn't. The contrast was heightened the humor. Very well done! LKK

LOL! Genius… The whole thing was hilarious – I loved lines like “Well, we both know his dungeons are not all that secure, so I suppose I have little to be concerned about,” *snigger* Poor Thranduil will never live that one down…. But the ending was brilliant – not just the runes, which I thought were quite eloquent for a Dwarf really, but the way they are both absolutely horrified at the thought that Thranduil might find out! What an image! Priceless…:)

LOL - this was great, Jenolas! I liked the visit to Dol Guldur and the little details about their reactions and the flowers already growing there. Meeting the King was great, but the reading of the dwarf runes truly hilarious. Thanks for a fun story.

That is hilarious! Thranduil would indeed be insulted! But how nice to see the two friends making their way home. The stop at Dol Guldur was interesting too. Nice job, Jenolas.
