i love it how morwen is like eradan's caretaker...aw hehe and i love the part when eradan was hungry...that so reminds me of my brothers i'm glad that narion is gonna fight...even though i worry about him Celvandil sounds really cool...i like him awesome job and can't wait to see more!

Author's reply

Narion isn't exactly afraid of fighting. If you remember, he got tangled up in a fight in Rohan that he didn't even have a stake in. It was just there, and he wanted to fight. He's like that; Belecthor too. ;) Celvandil is intersting. He's going to be in this story quite a bit. More than usual, anyway.

EomerofEastfold · 28 December 2003 · Chapter 6: Return Home

Actually, my thinking is that Morwen would actually enjoy continuing to look after Eradan. Maybe Faramir knew that in a grandfatherly kind of way. :)

Author's reply

Faramir is rather shrewed, I will agree, but it's also for practical reasons. Let's say that there's some weird thing where a certain treatment wasn't working and even working against the healing process. If they get an entirely new healer, something terrible might happen. O_O Also, let's just say that Faramir was a young man once, too, and knows that he would have rather liked being tended by someone like Morwen when he was wounded. What more could a man ask for? ;)

Grey Wonderer · 27 December 2003 · Chapter 5: Council

Very well done. You could feel the tension in the room during the council meeting. I did not envy Lord Faramir the job of keeping order. I would have rather waited out in the hall with Belecthor. I hope Strider, er, King Elessar is able to wait for help. Also hope you had a Merry Holiday, Chigger.

Author's reply

Elessar was waiting more or less patiently while these political big-wigs fight this out in Ithilien, but he's getting a little impatient, so they better hurry up. :) I had a blessed Christmas Season, and I hope you did too.

EomerofEastfold · 24 December 2003 · Chapter 5: Council

Sounds like a political debate to me. "Let's try doing a bunch of pointless things before doing what needs to be done." Glad Faramir was there to talk some sense into them. Belecthor reminds me of Rochmir now. Well, not completely. Just the line about wanting to be a simple soldier and not get caught up in politics and what not.

Author's reply

Belecthor's Rohirric blood seems that have taken a pretty deep rooted hold (so did Hirilian's, but that's obvious, considering where she is now O_~). I, personally, don't like debates or politics or anything like that. I'm more of an outside person (when the weather's right) who wants nothing more than to go tearing across an open field on a good horse with a good dog running alongside. Doesn't it sound like fun?

dr_seuss_is_cool · 24 December 2003 · Chapter 5: Council

aww poor Belecthor well at least he got to leave eventually well well well...Ostoher seems like a cute guy....hmmm...19...oolala great job!

Author's reply

I may just have to bring Ostoher back in, huh? ;) I won't kill him in battle, though. I promise.

dr_seuss_is_cool · 23 December 2003 · Chapter 4: Awakening

ahh...ok...first eradan was so cool he said she was lovely!! *girly giggle* and i once had to have alchohal put on a cut i had on my leg and AHHHHHH POOR ERADAN! o well...he has Morwen there to comfort him with her lovliness *girly giggle* great job!

Author's reply

Too bad they don't have hydrogen-peroxide, huh. That never stings.

EomerofEastfold · 23 December 2003 · Chapter 4: Awakening

Pure alchohol in an open wound? Well, in accordance with my thinking, that would cause a very sharp, almost paralyzing jolt of pain. In fact, I believe he did well to remain as still as he did. So, is Morwen going to get together with Eradan? I know you've said very little to suggest this. It's just a hunch. :)

Author's reply

Reading Westerns like I do, they are constantly putting whiskey on their gunshot wounds and such and everytime I read about it, it sends shivers up and down my spine. Especially when they put it on a rag on the end of an arrowshaft and shove it through someone's shoulder. AAAAAAAA!!!!!! ;) As to Morwen and Eradan, we'll have to ask Belecthor if it's alright with him. He's very picky you know, and once we get his approval, we might ask Morwen what she thinks. So it could be a long process. Then we might have to consult Eradan. :)

Grey Wonderer · 23 December 2003 · Chapter 3: Short Cut

I know, I reviewed this one already but I put the word stuck when I meant stick so am correcting it. LOL Also, a quick word about Morwen. As she is such a calm person, it would be interesting to see this calm put to the test. Put the dear girl in the middle of some sort of chaos and let us see how she reacts. Just thought she would be interesting as a younger sib put in charge of something that is going out of control like maybe her sisters two sons? LOL Ok, I am going to shut up and go to work now.

Author's reply

That would be interesting, wouldn't it? Just send Harding up for a month. ;) I think Faramir might kick him out before the month was up, great-grandson or not. That kid just won't stop TALKING! ;P

Grey Wonderer · 23 December 2003 · Chapter 3: Short Cut

Once agin, I find that the horses in your story add so much. You do them so well and I always feel like I know these animals by the end of the chapter. I don't envy Faramir having to come up with a plan by morning. He really does have a long night ahead of himself doesn't he? I will be awaiting his instructions in your next chapter. Oh, sorry about all of the story ideas that keep coming to me for you to write. I just get caught up in the characters and decide that I want them to stuck around. Best way for them to do that is if you write them into more of these stories. LOL All of the ones that I have mentioned so far, I really would love to see you try and write. These are just such wonderful characters! I suppose you wouldn't want to write one of these from a horse's POV. LOL There I go again. Just ignore me and go on. it's very early and I am not usually up at this hour.

Author's reply

Celebros is a wonderful animal, isn't he? I've always wanted a nice big horse like him, although a sorrel would be more my color. :) Yes, Faramir has a long night ahead of him. I doubt he went to sleep at all. (I can be cruel when I want to be :D) But his instructions won't be until after this next chapter, so I'm going to keep you hanging. ;) As to the story ideas, my Dad also wants me to write him a Western, so I've got that on "broil" down in the oven, but I'm just worrying about the things on the burners right now, front and back. ;) But no, I don't think I would even know where to begin writing a story from a horse's point of view. O_o

EomerofEastfold · 22 December 2003 · Chapter 3: Short Cut

Now that I see Faramir, I wonder if I in fact helped spur this story along by informing you that Faramir lived to be 120? :) Whether I did or not, I like where this is going, and I'm anxious to see the men of Gondor in action, though I myself am struggling with that very thing in my own fic.

Author's reply

Yes, Faramir would have been long dead in this story and his son Erinmir would have been ruling, but you pointed that out in the nick of time. I even had time enough to change things in WHWB before posting the last few chapters. ;) I don't know much about the men of Gondor, so I hope I don't do anything too weird. :) Good luck with Rochmir and his bunch.

dr_seuss_is_cool · 22 December 2003 · Chapter 3: Short Cut

yay! i'm so glad that belecthor is there safely i wonder what Faramir will do eek...i can't wait to see great job!

Author's reply

With a good horse and a great sense of direction, you can get almost anywhere. ;) Just sit tight; Faramir will be back in a little while. But first . . .

dr_seuss_is_cool · 22 December 2003 · Chapter 2: Warning

ahh...i'm so scared for farimir eek...and poor Belecthor...ahhhh i thought the whole talking about getting married convo with morwen and belecthor was really interesting great job!

Author's reply

Don't worry about Faramir. In a pinch, he's a pretty tough booger, and he's got a good head on his shoulders. (Plus a lot of good advisors and such and a rather forceful wife with her own ideas.) ;) Belecthor's only worry is his avid following of rather giggly girls that won't leave him alone! AAAA!!! :) I take a great amount of interest in my chacter's lives, and sometimes they just have to turn around and glare at me for being so nosey ;), but for the most part, I just want to see them happily married off to the right person. But my ideals for them are rather hard to come across, especially in the normal Higher Class, where the kids are raised as mindless royal brats (at least in the history of our world). Still, I'm searching as hard as I can and more than a few tries have been turned down by my rather particular young charges. Especially Belecthor. He's rather picky about this kind of thing, and he's nearly come to blows with young courters coming after his sisters. ;)

Grey Wonderer · 21 December 2003 · Chapter 2: Warning

I am so glad that the poor soldier was found and was able to deliver his message. Now his honor is in tact and the people of Gondor will get their help. It is also good to read about Morwen and Belecthor again. Glad to see the characters' stories continued. I am still guessing as to which one of the two is the main focus of your new story. Either way I hope there is a great deal of my new favorite in these fictions; Narion. I just love that character! Would be interesting to read his history.....

Author's reply

AAAAAAAAA!!!!!!! You already have me writing two more stories with one on the back burner, and now you want me to write about Narion's history! AAAAAAA!!!!!! ;) No, actually, it's just a little overwhelming the way you can throw out these great plot-bunnies and they begin to grow in my mind, and yet I have no time to write them. In my scribble-spiral, I have an entire page or two that I'm devoting to "Grey Wonderer's Requests" and I was wondering if there were anymore you wanted. Just let me know, and I'll set it down for the future. As to the main focus of the story, it was supposed to be Morwen, but the way things are turning out, I think it's going to be evenly split, or more on Belecthor. Morwen's just too calm a character and I can't really come up with anything very interesting to write about her. Meanwhile, Belecthor is going off into battle every five days. ;)

EomerofEastfold · 21 December 2003 · Chapter 2: Warning

Ah, so now we're following the exploits of Belecthor. :) Very interesting. Is Ceorl going to make a cameo? :)

Author's reply

I've agonized over how to make Ceorl and Hirilian fit into this story, and I may yet find a way, but I don't know where.

Grey Wonderer · 21 December 2003 · Chapter 1: Mission

Another good beginning! I am very curious about the rider. You seem to have started this one with a cliff-hanger.

Author's reply

Yes, cliff-hangers are wonderful beginning chapters. That way your readership is hooked more easily than if I began it with a long chapter like the next one. :)

EomerofEastfold · 20 December 2003 · Chapter 1: Mission

Wow, that was certainly an interesting piece. I think it shows the drive and determination of a soldier very well. But, is it the end?

Author's reply

Is it the end? You don't know do you. ;)
