Oh marvelous! Fantastic. I love Frodo's fear of the situation he is in. Fantastic! Once more you Gandalf and Gwahir is characterised well.
I mean by pre-written is that is this whole story already written and your editing it before you post. Or is each chapter written and then posted?
THanks for a lovely update!
Author's reply
Neither. I mean, I don't write the whole story first (I wish I had time for this!), get it edited, and then post it. I don't also have each chapter written and then post it. What I have now is that I've finished already several chapters ahead of what I've posted. So I will post in every several days, that's all. But I hope I'll still be able to do that.
Thank you for reading and liking and reviewing it!

Now that was a new twist! The stabbing was not good news at all was it? Not for either side this time. Ah, but my Eagles were in this chapter so there is always hope isn't there? Isn't there?
Author's reply
There is, there is. But how fast can the eagles fly? :) But again, let's see.

wow! that was a great descriptive chapter! I love it a lot, even though Frodo got hurt...It was great! I love Gandalf's reaction when Frodo got stabbed and especially surprise at Sauron's reaction when he realize the "Ringbearer" might die (I hope not!)!! Will Gandalf defeat the Nine RingWraiths?!? Will Frodo live???!!! AaAh don't keep me hanging on suspense for too long!
Author's reply
Oh, no! No one wants him to die. But suffer, yesss. *smirk evilly* But I don't want you to fade too! Please hang on till the next chapter.

OOOOH!! You have such wonderful ways of making someone's anticipation rise! Mine surely is... I can't wait to see what happens next! Keep up the awesome work!
Author's reply
I guess that's what happens when someone writes a story in chapters - trying to get readers to keep continuing to the next chapters. But I surely try my best to do that!

I have to admit it was an evil place to leave this chapter, but it was still very well done. I love how you included the eagles into this. I was surprised that they didn't play a big role in the books much, but the way you've included them in is mesmirising.
I love your Gandalf, and your Frodo, the Witch-King just scares me! Great characterisation! Keep up the great work!
Oh, is this pre-written?
Author's reply
Thank you - but someone told me Gwaihir didn't do the best he could do here. Well, I think I still have homework to do.
Mmm, what do you mean by pre-written?

Gwaihir! The eagles have come at last! I love the eagles! Yours is the first fan fiction that I have ever read with the eagles mentioned in any detail at all. Thank you for including Gwaihir as I have always found him fasinating. Oh, the rest of the chapter was very good also, I just got all caught up in Gwaihir. What a place to leave it by the way. How will I stand it until you post again?
Author's reply
I hope you're still okay when the next chap comes up. LOL. I like the eagles, too. Gwaihir and his brother. What was his name again?

Oh my gosh! what an evil situation all the others are in? I am too shocked to write a proper review. I hope you continue soon with this. This has to be one of the best stories I've read on this site! Keep up the good work!

· Chapter 10: Mercy
I hate rats as a food source! Poor Frodo! But Sam was my main worry in this one. He always manages to find a way to make himself feel guilty. He started out angry with Strider and then, like he always seems to do, he began to blame himself. I hope someone can convince him that he is doing all that he can. Looking forward to more, and on my last review you asked if I were Helen. I am not. And as to you rquestion of how I would like this to end , I want to be surprised as so far you have kept me guessing and I am enjoying it very much!
Author's reply
Oh, I'm so sorry about the mistake in names. I'm always like that, confusing one person to another. Gosh! This old brain of mine. LOL.
About your concern of Sam - wow! I've never realized I always write Sam that way. Guess I did him quite injustice, didn't I?

Now that is a cliff-hanger! This story is getting interesting. It's a good thing that Sam has the Ring and not Frodo or otherwise things would be very different. This is continuing to amaze me with every chapter! Keep up this superb piece of fiction. I'm eagerly awaiting more!

· Chapter 2: Frodo, The Fog, and Strider
I really like the pretence that Sauron has in this story - that one moment he seems truly interested in Frodo or his background - like asking his name.
At first he is quite restrained in his questioning - but then becomes this raging menace and in the event that he can't get his answers the quiet way he will make his victim scream to get it - in this case Frodo.
I also really like the idea that Frodo gave his real name when tortured - he could have given any - but then I supposed Sauron would have seen through any lies or deceit - being the master himself.
I always wanted to know how Frodo thought when he lands back in reality on the pub floor in Bree - what he was thinking when he saw the eye and loved the idea that the images and feelings remained hidden from those around him as much as possible.

Author's reply
To tell you the truth, when I wrote the part when Frodo screamed out his name, I haven't had the idea that Sauron might be able to read minds. But then i thought, hey why not? He's very powerful then perhaps he can do that. That's what makes the scene when he forced Frodo to tell his name give the impression of him (Sauron) pretending not to know, just to show Frodo how he would suffer if he refused to say anything.

This line :
Oh, my dear Baggins. You may be lovely - too true - too true when you watch the movies.
A very interesting idea you have here - very different from other stories. Wonder where this road will lead us and what friends we may make along the way or what enemies of Sauron may we encounter.
What will we feel along the way - with your writing I suspect every emotion of the spectrum.

Fantastic! I like how you've captured the character of Sam. I can imagine Shaun Astin's face as he says all those lines! I especially like how you've incorporated Gandalf into this chapter. He must be really worried about Frodo. Once again this is a brillient chapter! Keep up the good work!

Oh wow, fantastic. I liked the discription and the way you've characterised Sauron for me is brilient. You've brought him alive for me!
I wonder since Sam now has the Ring Sauron can control him?
