The white cat embodies all you'd expect in a feline - independent, clever, and a bit traitorous!

Author Reply: Thank you :) that was the idea!

All these reviews have made my day - thank you for taking the time out to leave them!

Very sweet! We can see how strong the relationship between these three is going to be, and why Theodred's death much later will be such a heartbreak. I don't think you need feel like this should be 'hidden' here. :)

Author Reply: Thanks, Kitt :) I actually did move it out of this collection and onto its own page over at Faerie; I haven't got round to it over here, though. Plus I don't want to lose my reviews!!

hahaha. I hope Estel's encounter with laundry goes better for the twins!
I remember a similar revulsion to mushrooms when I was little. Now I can't have a real meal without them!

Author Reply: Hi Kitt :) long time no speak! I love mushrooms too; the meal the twins make for Estel is one I often make for myself :) mushrooms, cheese and herbs, nom nom nom...

"the cat who walks by herself" – that is perfect! Love the Kipling reference, and the unique twist you put on this. I adore this, and your other stories here. They're wonderful. You have a fantastic series going, I eagerly wait for what you come up with next! :)

He’s our ancestor, that great sailor of the stars.

What an inheritance, and forever-hope. I truly hope he finds what he seeks.

Author Reply: I like to think that he did ;)

Kipling would be proud of this cat, I think! Although I found myself a bit disappointed to find she didn't find a cockroach to serve as her companion. Heh! Love that this cat finds a means to undermine Beruthiel's malice, and intends to abandon her in the end.

Author Reply: Thank you, Larner! No, no cockroach for this cat - but I'm glad you think Kipling would be proud of her.

Don't ever be embrassed or ashamed to show this to anyone. You should read *my* first LOTR Fan Fic story. I cringe now when I look back on it. This is lovely and you have the voices of two little lost ones trying to make sense of their new reality absolutely dead on!! One of my favourite parts was when Theodred was about to turn away until he heard Eowyn's sob. Only someone w/a heart of stone would turn away after hearing that.

Sigh...This is just a lovely little story about the first days of the siblings living in Meduseld and thank you so much w/sharing it w/us. :o)

Author Reply: Hi, Tigger! Sorry it's taken me so long to get back to you, for some reason I missed this notification. I'm so glad you enjoyed this story as it is very old - I wrote it over five years ago, so it's good to know people are still getting pleasure out of it.

Saruman certainly didn't do right by his henchman. I can imagine this internal dialogue.

Author Reply: Yes, I ended up feeling rather sorry for Wormtongue. Thank you for reading and taking the time to comment.

I hope that his father found the aid he needed. Lovely to think that Aragorn's descendants still remember.

Author Reply: Thank you, Larner :) I like to think some help arrived...
