| omg i love this story sooooo much~!! You paint such genuine sweet scenes between Pippin and Frodo ---it's just such lovely description.. i love the bit between Sam and Pippin; their dialogue was so sweet in terms of Pippin saying that Sam woudl surprise them and you put into a book type of quote in saying that Sam has something to do at the end which he wasn't sure what but he was resolute to do what he set out to do regarding staying with Frodo. Sam and Pippin's love fro Frodo is magnified so much in this chapter--i really really love it~ and your h/c is the best type there is too... i really enjoy reading this!!!! =) and the paragraph about the memories that Pippin had with Frodo was a sweet inclusion too. omg... so much to praise~ love this story--adding it to favorites (if i hadn't already ;) ::hugs:: keep it up, look forward to hearing much more. =) Author Reply: omg... so much to praise~ OMG, indeed! :) Thank you so much for your sweet words. | This is such a beautifully written and tender exploration of Pippin's feelings - I love how aware he is of how others are feeling too, and his efforts to keep Frodo warm and comfortable when he too is cold and tired. I also don't doubt that Pippin surprised Sam during that conversation just as much as Sam surprised him! | Oh this is so wonderful! The bonds between the cousins and Sam are one of my very favorite themes--the love and loyalty between all four of them, the way in which they interact, the differences in how they relate, one to another--and this is a particularly well-done exploration of that, focussing on Frodo and Pippin, and with Sam as well, showing how the bond with Sam was welded by his love for Frodo...oh, I'm not making any sense, but you've just nailed it! The bond between the hobbits - and the enitre fellowship, in fact - is one of the most important themes of the books for me. It makes it special. With this story I tried to show how it developed and grew. | |

| I loved this, though it took me a moment to realise that they were at Crickhollow. More, pleeeese! Author Reply: I never mention where exactly the scene takes place (at least not in this story) and that's why I made it the title of the chapter :) There will certainly be more, as I am already working on chapter two. | |
