This is a beautifully woven sequel. It's wonderful to see the original characters introduced in Valar even more fleshed out. It's especially fun to see the characters (such as Camnesta, Elumeril, and Earundra) that were introduced but less developed in Valar, come alive. I love the opportunity you've given us to see the lost ones re-introduced (or in Legolas's case, introduced) into the families that have so long awaited their return home. Little Legolas is, of course, as darling as can be, and Thranduil is wonderful, both as father and king. I hope there will be many more sequels to come. I very much enjoy seeing Mirkwood and the elves that dwell there woven into the vivid, beautiful tapestry you've sewn. |
