You had me on the edge of my seat through most of that chapter. But Frodo was so strong and fierce. I love that you showed that. I liked the tiny touch of foreshadowing with Sam considering how awful it would be to go on without hope too. If he feels like that about the wraiths, how much more must it cut him when Frodo reaches that point? A great tale told well, as always, Budge. Thank you.

I loved it. I was worried for Pippin and Frodo for a few moments, but happily you got the fellowship safely out of the situation with minimal damage. I really enjoy your characterizations, can't wait for your next story.

Absolutely wonderful!! A powerful ending to a powerful story. Thank you so very much. Author Reply: Thank you, Pearl. I appreciate your encouragement. This was a complicated, difficult tale to visualize and verbalize, and your appreciation and enthusiasm for the tale helped keep me going.

Wow. A truly amazing story, Budgie. You've given a whole new twist to the Oathbreakers, and who was waiting at Erech for Aragorn to come. “Thank you,” the wraith said to Aragorn. “If it is within your power, lord, do not delay in your coming. We will wait, as we must. This time, we will honor the return of the king.” Amazing. You never fail to astonish me with your imagination. Author Reply: Don't you love how LotRs gives us so many openings for our own imaginations to play? A simple phrase, a word, a little detail mentioned once and never again. What odd twist of mind makes us wonder what happened to Gandalf's cart, or the belts given Merry and Pippin in Lothlorien? I sit back and marvel - and enjoy.

"Wise and noble was his mien, and he wore royalty like a mantle across his broad shoulders." Tolkien himself would write it thus. This is just so powerful! Stunning, and such an original notion. This is awesome. Pearl Took

Another cliffhanger. Oh dear. I like how you connected the ghosts with the Paths of the Dead. Very interesting. And now the nazguls have taken Frodo and Pip! And what happened to Merry when he landed? Please update soon... :)

Very exciting. I really liked how you connected the ghosts to those from the Paths of the Dead. Can't wait for more, I hope Frodo and Pippin will be okay.
