Wonderful story so far! I love how real you've made the characters. The interaction between Sam and Peregrin in the last chapter was perfect and believable.
For some reason, I really loved this line: "Legolas gritted his teeth. It was not a very elf-like thing to do, but it was something he had picked up from Gimli." I'm not sure what it was but it truly seemed just like them. Excellent work! Keep it up!

Author Reply: I always thought it amusing when I first read that Sam's daughter married Pippin's son - it left open so many possibilities to their reactions! And I'm glad you enjoyed that little Legolas/Gimli line - I had a lot of fun writing it (strange, considering it was such a short line). I first wrote that Legolas was grinding his teeth, then realised that it was probably not something an elf would often do! Thanks for your review!

Oh, you simply must continue soon! Excellent! I love how Aragorn, Legolas, and Gimli got involved.

Author Reply: I'll try to continue as soon as I can. There aren't *too* many chapters left for this one, so I want to try and finish it fairly soon. I'm afraid that Aragorn probably won't have much more to do, but I still have a few things planned for everyone's favourite elf and dwarf! Thanks for your review!

I cannot believe this story has only gotten a few reviews!I just adore it! Drat, I was hoping they'd get to Rivendell...maybe a sequel? :D I'm enjoying this, and I can't wait to see how Faramir and Gildi finally get together.

Author Reply: One of the major downsides of living in a different time-zone to most authors on this site, is that when I update, it's usally like 4am for the time-zone that the site is set for! But it's something I've gotten used to. Thank you for your review. The original idea that I had was to have them attacked by trolls, and rescued by Elladan and Elrohir, but that was going to be *way* too much trouble. I'm glad that you like this (it was my first attempt at LotR fanfiction, but it has been revised since I started it), and I also hope you will like the way I plan on getting them together!

It's kind of weird reading this because I am so used to Baylor and her version of Hobbits: The Next Generation, but I really like where this is going. Actually, I really like Goldilocks, and her point of view. And the promise of Took hijinks is too good to pass up.

Author Reply: I know how odd it can be to read someone else's version of certain characters, and what couples they use! I've become so used to the couples I used, that sometimes I forget that they're not canon, and that other authors pair different characters up. I hope you won't be too discouraged from reading (I know how great an author Baylor is!). And I promise there will be plenty of Took hijinks from both Faramir and his dear father (who really should know better!)

I agree with Legolas - Sam definately should not have named children after Merry and Pippin. The gifting of some of the parents attributes to Goldilocks, Pippin, and Faramir is well-done, its just enough to show their connection to their parents without making them a younger edition. I especially loved how you have Sam's shyness to Pippin.

Author Reply: Thank you for your review! I am also in agreement with Legolas - very, very bad idea on Sam's part! I *try* not to make the children too much like their parents, so thank you for letting me know that I've succeeded there!

This is a very enjoyable story! I like the relationship between Faramir, Goldi, and Pippin. I like how they're coming across everything that they're parents went through. Can wait to see where they end up at! It's true there are very few stories about Faramir and Goldilocks together. I'm in the process of writing one myself right now.

Author Reply: I can't wait until I *decide* where they end up! I keep changing my mind! Faramir and Goldi are becoming a more and more popular subject of stories. I started mine because I couldn't find any others! I may just check yours out, as long as I won't be tempted to copy ;) Thanks for the review!

It should be interesting to see how far the three youngsters get. I suspect Peregrine and Samwise will be torn between hugging their children and wringing their necks!
