| This is so sensitively written. Pip's memories are returning, but it's easy to see how fragmented and confusing things still are for him. Author Reply: Thank you for the kind words. I think it can be interesting how people remember events even if they haven't been injured. It's how we get so many different accounts of one event. I decided that it would be even more-so with an injury. | |

| Oh, I can't stop reading this! What a poignant moment when Pippin remembered the boat! Author Reply: I wanted to start with something small, and yet, important to Pippin. I thought it would be interesting if, even though he goes about it the wrong way, Merry jump-starts things in a way he doesn't expect. I like a surprise now and again. | I'm *finally* getting time to read this wonderful story! I'm already mesmerized, and it's only chapter 2. I do love... "I doubt that our Pippin will ever be safe for very long no matter who he is with," Frodo smiled. "No, Merry, that one has a high sense of adventure. He doesn’t think before he acts. | Ohhh..."Momma." So cute! I love this...I had to get a new box of tissue! LOL...now I understand what you meant about Pearl waylaying Frodo in Merry's Decision! I loved your comment about Frodo being along in a room with two Took females! Gosh, we do think alike! PF Author Reply: Yes we do! Two brains, on the same course. Frightening, isn't it? I like strong female characters and I think that the Took women usually fit that description. | |

| I haven't read the chapter yet, but Pearl told me about the cookies being biscuits... I gather biscuits in fair old England may be (and I'm guessing here) rolls? Help--someone from England--help! Now I have to go back and change all the cookies in my stories... btw, if I spot any cookies I'll eat them!! :-) Pippinfan Author Reply: Please eat them all!
