| I was going to write that this story gets to the heart of the matter, but that's true only from one point of view. It's true that Arwen's choice was painful for her father and is almost inexplicable when you think of what she gave up. But it fits into a large overarching story and from that perspective it's a tiny moment - the mixed happiness and tragedy of a few people. | |
