An Unexpected Adventure [IN HIATUS]  by KathyG 4 Review(s)

Oh, my. Fundraising, translated to Middle-earth culture. Somehow, it made me think of a story I read quite a while ago, about a sales-and-marketing type who was put into suspended animation for a long time. He woke up in a world without advertising, and so all his accustomed tricks were totally new to the people around him. I don't remember how it came out, though...

And "as brave as a hobbit" - what a lovely byword!

Best to you and DF.

Author Reply: You can thank Dreamflower for that phrase--it was her idea! =)

Yeah, really! Steve and Gail can certainly give the Minas Tirith citizens some ideas for fund-raising, can't they? [g] K.G.

All have had some fault in their mistakes, but not all misunderstandings or accidents are due to the fault of just one agent or act. So it is with all of the situations faced by the McCloud family at the moment. And the words spoken in Steve's heart are true--we need freedom in order to learn as much from our mistakes as from the teaching given us by others.

Author Reply: That's true. Kaylee will definitely have the chance to learn from hers, as will the rest of her family. K.G.

"You have been as brave as a hobbit" ... I do love that new Gondorian saying!

Author Reply: You can thank Dreamflower for that saying; she came up with it! =) K.G.

Ah, good. Now if we can only be as at ease about Joey, Jenn and Kevin. Several someones do seem to be watching over the children and whole family well. Makes you wonder sometimes how our guardian angels survive watching our lives and the almost heart attacks we must surely give them.

Author Reply: Yeah, isn't that the truth?! K.G.
