An Unexpected Adventure [IN HIATUS]  by KathyG 3 Review(s)

I love how much detail you put into Kaylee's cooking lesson. I never really thought that much about how they cooked in the olden times, so your description was very interesting. Poor Jennifer, Kevin and Joey. Death of someone you care about is always hard, but it is especially hard when it is sudden.
Thanks,
atealgirl

Author Reply: You can thank Dreamflower. She did a great job with that sequence!

Yeah, I know what you mean. It was awful for them all to lose Gandalf, and in this way. K.G.

Aha! A recipe-fic for Dreamflower! And an interesting mix betwixt Book- and Movie-verse. (BTW--personally I prefer NKJ to NIV.)

Author Reply: You prefer the New King James Version, huh?

Yes, Dreamflower does love her recipe-fics! The only thing missing was the recipe itself. =)

If I could make mushroom soup with Bilbo I might like it too! Though those onions...hmm...Anyway I love that Bilbo's now teaching Kaylee to cook! If they get out of this and back home safely I can just imagine how astonished the McClouds will be at how grown up their kids are! I loved that scene so, so much, so soft and gentle -

in stark contrast to the rest of the chapter, the darkness of Moria and Gandalf's fall. *shudders* I loved it too, just in a different way. It's so well done and I could feel the Company's varying emotions, particularly the children. I wonder what they'll think of Lothlorien - and Jennifer, I am so with you on the issue of bridges!!! Gah! Railings are necessary for me, lol!

Author Reply: The elder McClouds will indeed be astonished, won't they? =) I'm glad you love that scene. Yeah, I know what you mean about onions! [makes face]

I'm with you about bridges and railings! I'd be afraid to cross that particular bridge, let me tell you.
