An Unexpected Adventure [IN HIATUS]  by KathyG 3 Review(s)

In this chapter the kids are getting a hard reality check about the dangers of this world. I liked how Kaylee is worrying about them too after hearing about Bilbo's journey. I am proud of Kevin in being able to get a blow in on the wolf. Poor Joey and Jennifer, and Kevin too, being directly confronted with beasts and monsters that they thought were mostly in fairy tales. I like how patiently Boromir explains things.
Thanks,

Author Reply: They sure are, aren't they? For the first time in the Quest, they have encountered real danger. Kaylee's worried about them, yes, but fortunately, she's not encountering that same danger. This is only their first encounter with a monster that doesn't exist in real life! K.G.

At least Kaylee has her faith to strengthen and comfort her, and Bilbo as a companion. And the others are well guarded.

Author Reply: That is so true!

I love this chapter, and how the scenes with Bilbo and Kaylee were mixed with those of the Company. I'm so glad we get to see how Kaylee's faring back in Imladris!

I feel so bad that they have to leave Bill behind - I have to wonder how Bill will fare getting back on his own, but then that's another story entirely, isn't it? *wonders how Lindelea will handle that one, and if you'll be tackling it too*

And so into Moria...*shivers*

Author Reply: Uh, I think Dreamflower and I will leave the logistics of that to Lindelea! =)

I'm glad you've enjoyed this chapter. Yes, for now, the worst Kaylee has to contend with is worrying about her siblings.
