| I like how even Elrond, Gandalf, and Glorfindel are flabbergasted by the children's story. I think the rock Kaylee picked up will be important for sending them home. I liked the parallel discussions between Elrond and Gandalf and the kids both coming to the conclusion that the kids were sent there by Eru/God for a purpose. I look forward to seeing what that purpose will be as the story progresses. Thanks, atealgirl Author Reply: The wise of Middle-earth are encountering something unheard of to them. And yet, you will notice that they are wise enough not to doubt them either. Eru/God never does anything without a purpose! Oh, and yes, the rock will be important, though you will have to wait a while to find out how. Author Reply: BTW, I forgot to say, this is DF. I am sure that KG will also reply. Author Reply: Yes, here I am! Yes, they definitely are flabbergasted by what the children have told them, and it didn't take long for the children to realize that God has sent them there, and to do a job for Him. As for the rock Kaylee brought with her, it'll be definitely important, but as Dreamflower said, you'll have to wait and see in what way! K.G. | |

| This gets more and more exciting as I go along. I can't remember if I'd read this chapter yet, it's been a while since I lost track (again, sorry for that!) But reading this chapter felt like the first time. I love the references to the Wizard of Oz; I always wanted to be Dorothy when I was Kaylee's age! (But look, now I'm Kaylee! *giggles* And my middle name is Anne, too!) Anyway, it's a good thing they know God's watching out for them. It's interesting Gandalf realizes that Eru Iluvatar is the same being they know as God, and I wonder what he'll be thinking of that, or who he'll tell - Elrond, Glorfindel and Arwen, I'm guessing. Or at least Elrond for sure. Author Reply: LOL! Most interesting. You should find this story most interesting, then! =) Yes, it is good that the McCloud children know that, and that Gandalf knows what he does about them. | |
