I will keep you both in my thoughts as Kathy G travels this difficult path.

Much love to you both.

I have almost instantly fallen in love with this story. I love the kids. I love how naturally you incorporate their faith. I even love the books Jennifer brought as they are some of my favorites. As far as places to be magically transported to you can't beat Rivendell. I am excited to see what interactions and adventures they have next.
Thanks,
atealgirl

Author Reply: Welcome, atealgirl! It's so nice to have a new reader!

It's been fun to try and give the old "someone falls into Middle-earth" trope a new feel, with hopefully some new twists. DF

Oh, my. From the mundane to amazement. What on earth (or maybe not on earth?) has happened? What are the adults going to think?

And Kaylee left her backpack behind!

(Glad they're taking good care of the cute little puppy.)

Author Reply: I agree! =)

Author Reply: Hey, Lin! Fun to see you found our story! DF

Hi KathyG and Dreamflower!

Rereading from the beginning on here, since I'm afraid I fell behind on LJ. No offense taken I hope, just RL being overwhelming lately as it tends to do.

Anyway, I still want to cuddle little Kaylee, but poor kids, all of them, getting whisked away to they have no idea where (yet) and I'd entirely forgotten they left Megan behind, and their aunt and uncle, as well as their parents! I love the McCloud kids and hope they'll stay safe (as much as possible, given the circumstances. The Quest certainly wasn't safe!)

Author Reply: No, it certainly wasn't! It's certainly an unnerving experience for the McCloud children, to say the least.

A most auspicious beginning, although for good or ill is yet to be learned.

Author Reply: I'm glad you like how it starts. Thanks! Yeah, whether this is for good or bad does remain to be seen, although the McCloud children will be in good hands, thankfully.
