| Ah, yes, be ready, Aragorn! Poignant, that Gandalf included Gollum in his list of those he would seek. Author Reply: For all I believe he knew that Smeagol would not survive the destruction of the Ring, still I always felt he still would wish to rescue him, or at least his body, for a decent burial. But even the poor creature knew he would "die into the dust" when the time came. | |
