Elf Academy 4 - The Unfinished Tales  by Fiondil 11 Review(s)

That's a cliffhanger and no mistake. What is that all about? First bears, then earthquakes, a spume and a tentacled monster? Are these tarns connected somehow? I don't believe that there are that many monsters. Or is this another of Glorfindel's bad dreams?

Wow! An action filled chapter! Now I am wondering what role these new people will play?

Another gripping installment. Whilst reading this story I've been wondering how much of the geographical locations are based on real places and how much are fictional, but both the description and action are great.

What a cliffhanger! Just how many large, nasty creatures there are in mountain lakes in Alaska? I hope the one near Wiseman does not wake at the same time.

The younger Elves are finally starting to understand what the older ones learned in Beleriand and what the life was like there. It was quite surprising that Nell, too, was a city girl.

Glorfindel's thought about proving that he is not a Vulcan were funny (and needed as distraction from the seriousness of the situatiom). And I'm now really curious as to why Iluvatar was there when the creature woke up. To keep them looking at the tarn, so that they would notice the water plume in time, perhaps?

As for the last few chapters, it has been really entertaining to read Ron's profile on Elrond (and before that, the others') and see how everyone is adapting to the new situation with Glorfindel. I hope that Dave hasn't now labeled the Elves as a potential threat, though.

Thank you, again, for posting this story!

Oh dear! Another of Fiondil's patented cliffies! And this one was a doozy - something unpleasantly tentacly seems to be trying to creep up through the tarn (its origin probably in some Lovecraftian dimension) straight after our heros, wo now also have some Mortals to protect! Next Monday can't come soon enough!

Poor Glorfindel, his relaxation didn’t last long. Bears, earthquakes, spumes and tentacle monsters, Oh my! I can image Legolas is having flashbacks.
Fiondil always did write great cliff hangers.

Ok, I started biting my nails at the "trees more worried than a Mirkwood-raised Legolas had ever seen" part... Uh oh...

And boy, what an uh oh! I am absolutely on tenderhooks to see what happens next week, and just why it's been orchestrated that they were there with this particular group of mortals at this time (those devious Valar!). Sounds like battle is about to get real for the Three Amigos, and dare I hope that Nell gets to channel her mother and show her chops?? I'm sure she's got them, and my guess is that everybody from Finrod on down underestimates her. :-)

Lavender is very soothing, so my contributions to the Cliff House treats are Lavender Earl Gray tea and lavender shortbread cookies.

Oh, Shitake Mushrooms! Now what! Just how many tentacled Tarn Monsters are out there?

Let's hope Loren has a large can of Monster Begone with him, 'cause he is going to need it!

Loved the Star Trek comments.

Climbs up to Cliff House (wondering when they are going to install the elevator as my knees are not happy at the moment) bringing a supply of cookies, sandwich fixin's and soup, Looks like we are in for a wild ride.

O_O

*dives under bed at the Cliff House and peeks out, then shakily gets up and goes to make tea* What was THAT?!

Oh Atya...I'm terrified for our Elves and their new Mortal friends, what is that, the Watcher in the Water, its distant cousin, a Cthulhu, a giant squid, what??? @_@

Waiting nervously for next Monday!!!

Tye-melin,

Kaylee

Now that's a nasty cliffhanger if I ever saw one! And we'll have to keep biting our nails until next Monday! Arrrrgh!

I loved the Star Trek references. They were too funny. *g*
