A Holiday Feast  by Larner 4 Review(s)
LindeleaReviewed Chapter: 15 on 12/19/2014
I still remember the time one of the wee hobbits stuffed a handful of black olives in her mouth, thinking they were grapes...

Author Reply: Now, that must have proved quite the shock! Heh! Poor lass!

My two love olives, while I never developed a taste for them at all.

I have only one problem w/this series of yours. It's making me incredibly hungry!! I swear I gain five pounds w/each new ficlet. Really enjoying these and can't wait to see what happens tomorrow. :o)

Author Reply: It appears to be reacting that way on most who comment, Tigger! Heh!

Hope things are going well for you as the year ends, or at least better. Tried to send you a private email but it appears you have a different email address now. Take care and God bless!

That *would* be an odd little fruit to encounter for the first time, wouldn't it? I love green olives, but not black.

Author Reply: My family preferred black olives. Only Big Bro really liked green olives, while I can't stomach them at all, I find. Don't particularly like olive oil, either. My kids used to do the olives on the end of each finger thing on holidays, and I'd have to hold down the reflex to gag. Heh! But I can't eat onions, either. Bilbo and Frodo can have my share of onions and olives.

O Larner,

I should have known onions would be involved. I was ignoring them on purpose because I can't eat them! Heh! O well! Olives, on the other hand, I like very much - at least certain kinds. Kalamatas are too much for me, but black "California olives" are just the right sort. :)

This feast is getting better and better. :)

Author Reply: Well, other people appear to love both olives and onions, and I have to shake my head at them. Have visited olive shops in California and watched the husband gobble down samples while I just stand there feeling rather stupid.
