| Nice to see you back! I remember having to purge certain phrases from my vocabulary when I had kids. | This one made me laugh. Every parent has had a moment when their kid uses language they might have preferred they be sheltered from. When my son was learning to read, he'd read road signs in the car to prove to me what he could do. We passed a movie house where "The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas" was playing. He read right up to "whorehouse" and then said, "I don't know that word." Motherly decision moment, right? So I said, "whorehouse." And he repeated it and finished the movie title, but, not unreasonably, he thought I was saying "horrorhouse." Author Reply: LOL! I remember you sharing that tale about your son before - probably the last time Elrohir repeated an inappropriate comment of Glorfindel's! | |
