| Well, it had to start somewhere! Glad to see some of the Shirriffs found their plain hobbit-sense, as Sam might say! Kaylee Author Reply: It was hinted in canon that while *some* of the Shirriffs had joined for a chance to boss their fellow hobbits around, most of them were either already shirriffs and not allowed to quit, or had been coerced into their positions by threats. Once the threats were taken away, they'd be glad to stop being bullies! | |

| A great use of the prompt,I found this one really tough. Author Reply: It took me a while-- I knew I wanted to do something to do with the Scouring, but it was hard to find a moment that was going to work for the prompt that I had not already dealt with before. | |
