From Wilderness to Cities White  by Larner 5 Review(s)

What an interesting scene- first Denethor of despair but Faramir to hope and it's great foreshadowing that you would want the land to be planted with greenery again which is what Faramir eventually did with Eowyn. :)

Author Reply: Oh, yes--Faramir and Eowyn must have rejoiced to see their new home again filled with natural beauty as it hadn't seen for decades.

Denethor was wrong this time, wasn't he? Heh!

Thanks so for reading back into this collection.

Beautifully done. Love the double meaning of the title. "Hope" indeed. Faith, too, is implied, and of course he will remain faithful, even in the face of despair.

Author Reply: Indeed, hope and faith reign fully joined in Faramir's heart, even as a small boy.

Lovely! I hope adult Faramir remembers this day.

Author Reply: And I thank you. I suspect that he did, at least at moments when he rejoiced in the beauty of the home in which he lived with his wife and children.

I think Faramir is as much Hope Unquenchable as Sam. Bless the man! *hugs him*

Namarie, God bless, Antane :)

Author Reply: Indeed, Antane! Thanks so.

Very nice. Faramir always was the best of that family. I think it also seem right that he senses that their hope lies in the Northwest of the world. I bet he would have even been amazed though in whom that hope rested.

Author Reply: I agree, and especially when he appreciated how many embodied that hope, much less that he himself was a good part of it. Thanks so!
