Ok, what now? It seems this was just a little respite before the next crisis hits. I love the picture of the Maia taking over the kitchen and Marillien ordering Ingwe around.

Author Reply: Ack! I can't believe I missed this one too. I'm glad you loved the picture of the Maiar taking over the kitchen and Marilliën ordering Ingwë around. She's a favorite of mine, as you can probably guess. *grin* Thanks for reviewing. I appreciate it very much.

Life does go on in spite of deaths of loved ones, but it is often painful as the scars of loss begin to heal.

Author Reply: Indeed it does, Larner, but, as you say, it can be painful for a time as the scar of loss begin to heal. Thanks for reading and reviewing.

For anyone who has lost a family member, these chapters are quite painful to read. I am still amazed by the personality you give to these characters.

I actually laughed loud when I saw Marillien. If she is Marilla, it is strange that Arafinwe didn't recognize her when she took over as head cook! Maybe he was too shocked at the moment?

Author Reply: Very true, Siiw. And having suffered my own loses, it was difficult to write these chapters, though I knew they had to be written.

As for whether Marilliën and Marilla are one and the same.... we'll see. And don't forget, the Maiar, like the Valar, can change their forms so even if Marilla is Marilliën, Arafinwë might not recognize her as such.

Thanks for reading and reviewing. I appreciate it very much.

Well, this is a nice calming chapter after all the angst of the last few, having something to do is a great help, even if it is only putting butter into bowls.

Ingwe does have a lot to get organised, not the least being a furneral for Ingalure, I expect Arafinwe will be able to help with that, but he still has to arrange for the trial a long with, no doubt, a myriad other things. Poor Ingwe, not something he ever imagined having to do.

I see you are still in Evil Cliffee King mode, I need to have a word with your Muse about this!

Huggs,
Lynda

Author Reply: Hi Lynda. Yes, a little bit of calm in between the storms that are assailing these poor Elves. Sorry about the evil cliffie, but it's a tried and true way of getting people back to read more. Remember the old serials on TV where there was always a cliffie at the end of every episode? At least I don't do that! LOL! Thanks for reading and revieiwng. I appreciate it very much.

Atya,

Why is Ingwion screaming? Did he have a nightmare? =( *is worried about him* Ick...I wouldn't be surprised if he had, and now I have to wait *all weekend* to find out...*sigh*

But there were funny moments in this chapter, Atto. Particularly the ones in the kitchen with Marillien. (If Marilla isn't Marillien, Atto, you'd better have a good explanation as to why not. =P *lol*) I loved the "Yes, Amme" bits. Those were hilarious.

(And now you've made me hungry for cinnamon rolls, eggs and bacon. I want them. I do not have them. Well, maybe eggs...I'll go check. It is breakfast time after all...perhaps second breakfast. I did have a bowl of cereal but you made me hungry *again*. Somehow you always do that, lol.)

I hope that Lemenyon, as well as Ingil, will be well looked after. (Is Ingil looking after Ingil? Heh. =) Ingilince, is that what they said?)

And hopefully soon we'll see why Ingwe would ever trust Ingoldo again...

Tye-melin, Atto.

Kaylee

Author Reply: Hi Kaylee. We'll learn in the next chapter why Ingwion is screaming. I'm glad you liked the kitchen scene. And don't worry, all will be explained eventually. And I have no doubt that Lemenyon is being as well looked after as Ingalaurë. As to who may be watching over him, that will be revealed shortly. As for Ingoldo.... well, we'll just have to wait and see what comes out at the trial.

Anyway, thanks for reading and reviewing. I appreciate it very much. Tye-melin.

It is going to be a long, long recovery. The aftermath sometimes is harder that the battle.
I re-read EI1 and now, a lot of comments make same. I understand better all those hint about the darkness. And Ingwon will be unstable for a lot of time, his only desire is to fade and his family won't let him do it.

Author Reply: Hi Fantasia. Yes, it will be a very long recovery, but Ingwion will recover. I'm glad in re-reading Elf, Interrupted many of the comments made by the characters now make more sense. We will see just how unstable Ingwion really is in the coming chapters and what lengths are taken to help him heal. Thanks for reading and reviewing. I much appreciate it.

excellent chapter. I love the kings and how they each have provided support and guidance for the other.

Author Reply: Thanks, Ellie. I'm glad you liked this chapter, especially how the kings offer support and guidanace to one another through this troubling time. Thanks for taking the time to let me know. I really appreciate it.
