It seems the table has turned on Ingoldo, but will it work?

Author Reply: We will see, Tari. He's not out of the running yet. Ingoldo is one of the people who has contingency plans for his contingency plans. Thanks for reading and reviewing. I really appreciate it.

*cheers for Ingalaure* Although having said that it probably is a very good thing that he was stopped before he could do something more permament to Ingoldo. Can't wait to see how this all pans out (especially considering what must eventually happen to poor Ingalaure based on your other stories!)

Author Reply: Hi bookworm. Yes, it was a good thing Nornoros stopped Ingalaurė from going too far. And while the end for Ingalaurė isn't too far off, we know that he is eventually returned to Life and to his family and we have to hold on to that thought as this story continues to its climax. Thanks for reading and reviewing. I really appreciate you taking the time to do so.

Oh another hang on your seat chapter! Well I didn't see that coming now the right elf is in charge things are going to get even more intersting, though don't how much more I can take.Friday is to long for the next chapter.LOL Galathil

Author Reply: Hi Galathil. Glad you found this an exciting chapter. At least you don't have to wait 4 months instead of just 4 days for the next chapter. Consider yourself fortunate. LOL! Thanks for taking the time to read and review. I really appreciate it.

Well, the fool had gone way to far. And there's no question he definitely deserves it, as does his equally foul unmentionable name of a wife!

Author Reply: They are both pieces of work, aren't they? *grin* Thanks for reading and reviewing, Larner. I appreciate it very much.

They should do a trial right now, it is treason, not matter if the High King is there or not. I know that is worng, but I'm so happy for the trashing, GO Ingalaure, Go! And I like Nornoros more and more everyday.

Author Reply: Hi Fantasia. Well, there are other considerations right now, but never fear, a trial is definitely in Ingoldo's future. And I am glad you like Nornoros a lot. He's grown on me as well and I enjoy writing him as I enjoy writing all of the Maiar. Thanks for reading and reviewing. I appreciate it very much.

You were right, Ratty does have a few nasty tricks up his sleeve, he has just played one and no doubt has still more.

Well Ingalure is back in charge of the city, now things can start to get back to normal, or as normal as it can be with the loss of The Trees, he has more kingship in his little finger than Ratty has in his whole body!

Now to figure out where Elindis and Indil are, maybe with Ingoldo under lock and key some of the palace servants will be willing to talk?

I think Eonwe would have been a little upset at recording Ingalure's oath but he would underatand, he was probably cheering Ingalure on and will thank Nornoros for stopping it in time.

Huggs,
Lynda

Author Reply: Hi Lynda. We will see how well Ingalaurė fares now that he is in charge and how he learns the whereabouts of Elindis and Indil. And you are probably right about Eönwė's reaction to Ingalaurė's oath. We will see how Nornoros fares for his interference in the next chapter. Thanks for reading and reviewing. I appreciate it very much.

oh my, how often will he be bested by his oncle? When will he learn? Poor Ingalaurė, but it“s his own fault. He should have made sure himself to see to the release of his mother and sister. Now all is starting anew. I hope Ingoldo was not right with his threat "the King is dead". When your stories ends I“ve no finger-nails left. Thrilling chapter, as always. Thank you. Lai

Author Reply: Hi Lai. You're right that Ingalaurė shouldn't have let Ingoldo out of his sight but should have secured Elindis and Indil's release personally. Well, unfortunately that didn't happen and he and everyone will have to deal with the consequences as we will see. Thanks for taking the time to read and review. I appreciate you doing so very much.

I wonder how the Chief Rat (and isn't calling him that an insult to every rodent?) likes it now that the shoe is on the other foot? Ingalaurė is certainly acting with dispatch here - good for him! And good for everyone else, too. But considering Ingoldo's scheming ways, I suspect his window of opportunity for hiding the ladies was bigger than Ingalaurė and his allies seem to think it was - it wouldn't surprise me if he hustled them off somewhere as soon as he had locked Ingalaurė away after the escape attempt, in order to use them to pressure Ingalaurė, and possibly Ingwė as well if he should escape. Though he could not have been thinking very clearly if that was his reasoning.
Hopefully Ingoldo is quite shocked by Ingalaurė giving him a beating - though that is only a fair repayment for the beating Ingoldogave him. :grins evilly:
Inglodo is obviously the kind of person who thinks being a King is wearing blingy headgear, presiding at the high table at feasts, and have everybody bowing and scraping to him. Ingalaurė and the council are on the other hand more interested in the welfare of the people, which Ingoldo does not seem to have given a thought at all.
Lassezel seems to have had a change of heart with respect to Ingoldo. Let us ope it is real, and not one of Ingoldo's backup plans.

Author Reply: Hi Sunny. I doubt Ingoldo appreciated the beating any more than Ingalaurė appreciated his. You may be correct about Ingoldo's window of opportunity being wider than most suspect. Ingoldo is into power, but that is not what being king is all about. He would obviously fail Aslan's test for kingship. *grin* And obviously he didn't pass Oromė's test either. And Lassezel may be many things, as we see in "Elf, Interrupted", but his heart is in the right place when it comes to his duties as a noble of the realm. We'll be seeing how all this works out eventually. Thanks for reading and reviewing. I appreciate it very much.
