Hi, Dreamflower - I love the new chapter - glad to see your take on Serinde. Looking forward to more as always. T

Author Reply: Hello dear! I only just saw this today!

I was so glad that SS agreed to let me use her characters. My Serinde is just a little AU to hers, as our timelines on certain things are a bit different. But I am trying to keep her "in character" by running her scenes by SS before I post.

I was very glad to see another chapter to this - I'll have to remember to check oftener. It's going very well. Thanks for writing and please keep going.

Author Reply: I will always keep going! Sometimes it goes slowly, but I do have hopes of updating more frequently now.

Finally had time to read this. I enjoyed Berilac's disappointment at not being able to breakfast with Viola - I suspect he's going to be rising much earlier from here on out. I also enjoyed Jolly and Mosco's tour of the city. Mosco is an observant hobbit, and it was kind of him to befriend Jolly. I'm curious to see what the Banks brothers have to speak about with Clodio.

Author Reply: I am finally seeing a bunch of reviews belatedly! I don't know how I missed them...

Yes, he may start getting up a little earlier...

I am hoping that Jolly and Mosco will have a lot more to do in this story!

And the conversation with Clodio is now up! Finally!

It was fun to see Serindë in this. I wasn't expecting it but it works so very well with the healers and their purpose.
I like Mosco more and more. I like how observant he is. He would make a good detective I do believe. : )

Author Reply: Years ago (back before I even finished "Road to Edoras", I left a little comment in SS's LJ about Serinde meeting Mistress Poppy. Everyone liked it, so I asked SS if it was OK to borrow her character when I got to that part of the tale.

Mosco is very observant, and especially of the buildings and such. He's going to grow into his own in this story, I hope.

Oh, I had been wondering if you're ever going to continue this, so I was happy to see an update!

To see Sardos and Serindë here is certainly another surprise :) Sardos is right, he sent the Hobbits to the one person in the Houses of Healing who would be the most delighted to see Hobbits again.

Nice look at Minas Tirith through the eyes of Jolly and Mosco. For them this huge city has to be quite intimidating, and I can well imagine that they may find the buildings impressing, but not green enough. It's such a difference to the Shire. And of course they had to end up in the bakery :D Just reading that bit made me hungry, too. It reminded me so of my last holiday in Cornwall – tea and scones with clotted cream and strawberry jam. Yummy!

Now I'm curious about the visit with the prisoners. I hope we don't have to wait too long to learn more!

Author Reply: It's been going in fits and starts. I've had lots written, but much of it was not consecutive. With such a large cast of characters it's difficult to get everybody in sometimes!

I'm so glad you enjoyed the appearance of Sardos and Serinde. I am very grateful to SS for the loan of her characters.

I am hoping to give Mosco and Jolly more to do in this story! I'm glad you enjoyed their little tour! (and your tea in Cornwall sounds yummy!)

As you see-- it's up now!

I was reading this one through, thinking, "She didn't... did she? Oh, wait a second..." And then you did. Amusing cameo, and of course I'm looking forward to more!

Author Reply: I'm just finding a ton of reviews I never saw before.

And yes, I did. The cameo began as a little "comment fic" in SS's LJ, and afterwards I asked her if I could use it when the time came.

And more has come...FINALLY!

Started re-reading the series when this update appeared. Love having Serinde and Sardos appear. Thanks for all the hard work.

Author Reply: Thank you for reading and commenting!

I was so glad that SS gave me permission to include her characters!

I'm sorry it took me so long to reply!

I must say it was interesting to see Sardos here, so Serinde wasn't as great a surprise as she might have been. And playing hostess to a pair of female Hobbit healers would be right up her alley, I'd think!

Am looking forward to more!

Author Reply: Yes, where Sardos shows up, it's likely that Serinde would as well!

As you see there is more now. I was so surprised this morning to discover a number of reviews I never replied to!

I am so pleased to see this and it continues to delight. And to include Serinde? Well.....I am wriggling in glee!

Author Reply: Believe it or not, I am just finding a lot of reviews I never answered (and some I never even saw).

I am glad that the chapter made you wriggle!

Very happy to see more of this.

Also happy that the Banks brothers decided to visit Clodio.

Despite having just finished a late lunch not so long ago, I was envying Jolly and Mosco their elevenses. I shall have to make do with raw figs, though -- not quite up to cooking with them yet.

"I’d like to see more of it, but I would feel very strange about going alone." -- Not sure if you intended about going alone or going about alone, but I figured I'd mention it in case it's a typo.

Author Reply: Hi! I just found several reviews that I never noticed before!

I hope your figs were good, LOL!

No, it was "about going alone"-- it was the "going alone" that he felt strange about and not the "going about"...but thanks for mentioning it, because it made me look at the phrase differently. I am sure that truly it was both things that disconcerted him!
